Catfished: The Saga Continues

Hey Honeys,

You may recall a while ago I shared an incident in which my neighbour catfished me as his “girlfriend”, and another incident a little later on. I kind of had a hunch about it but had no proof of it, and hence, it was his word against mine. Was he really trying to make me jealous, or was I just acting “jealous”? Let me just say, the gaslighting was extreme.

Well, true as is, this catfish finally fell well and truly into my net.

A few weeks ago, “Mark” ws talking to me about sex, as he likes to do - to be honest, I think it’s his way of compensating for all of the sex he doesn’t have, but also his way of having a kind of non-consensual, mental sex with me. Anyway, Mark started talking about lubricants and I told him about the one that I recently got to review on behalf of Pjur, Pjur Infinity. I didn’t try and sell it to him or anything, I was very matter of fact: “I got to review a good lube recently that it sounds like your girlfriend might like”, and left it at that. A quickside note: Mark does know about my work, he’s also not a part of my “inner world”.

A day or two later I got a message from Mark claiming that his on-off girlfriend “Annie” had ordered the lube I’d mentioned, but she wanted him to review it with her. Okay, whatever - glad to have helped but didn’t really want or need to know the details. The next day is their supposed “testing day” and I get a text from him which lays out a supposed copy of a text from her. The language in it from a supposed “mature” woman is questionable: a 40+ “mature” woman referring to her nether regions as her “puss puss”. Really?

But it gets better.

He claimed that they couldn’t go back to hers, so instead they were “at it” in his flat (this guy had literally text me supposedly mid-romp ) all night and to apologise for any noise, but also to thank me for my recommendation (admittedly Infinity and Woman Nude are good lubes!) and promising me gifts for my recommendations. We didn’t hear a peep, and better, the security camera that he depends on to secure our shared garden space had recorded him coming back from the gym alone. We now know he was up there all alone - and “Annie” doesn’t exist!

He still tries to make out his relationship with “Annie”, but I just give him that smile that says “I don’t believe a word that comes out of your damn mouth”. I still haven’t recieved any gifts from him either, but to be honest, he’s given me the best gift of all - after nine years of it being his word against mine when it comes to disputes, I now have proof that nobody can take anything he says seriously!

ETA: yes I’ve saved the texts and video as proof, just in case I ever need to prove to him that he’s nothing but a liar.

That’s kind of the line of thought I’ve been thinking. Either way she isn’t sending him texts unless she’s very advanced :joy:

A puss puss mid romping got me giggling :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Like @Craig1234 said, maybe Annie is a doll! Or some caged up prisoner in his flat :scream:

I don’t know the background (only read the current thread), but he sounds lonely and probably inadequate. It does not excuse his behaviour towards you, of course, which is pretty despicable.

I think he wishes he had someone caged up in his flat :joy:

@IntegerX he’s a mid-thirties guy with mild disabilities, that’s why we kinda get along (I have mild disabilities myself). That doesn’t excuse his behaviour - as you rightly say, disability can be a reason, but it’s not an excuse. He got rejected a few weeks ago and that got ugly with him wanting more and her not. Then this whole “Annie” debacle happened but I seem to be the target of it once again. I think the guy is so desperate to be seen as desirable, which is sad because he is a nice guy when he’s not mistreating people.

Well @Tenshadesandme I thought that it must be more complicated and clearly it is. Thanks for providing some more background. Hope you can get it resolved, anyhow. Your neighbour has behaved very badly, but I do have some sympathy for him and I suspect that he may be redeemable. Or am I wrong on that?

It’s hard to say, @IntegerX . He’s one of those people that everyone thinks means well and can be redeemed then right when you try to see him like they do, he goes and does something that rubs you up the wrong way. He lies to me, uses/tries to use my husband for free labour, he borrowed my nearly-new watering can last week, no problem with that, but he didn’t return it like he found it; it came back covered in cement dust. Also, he knows I work hard on our parts of the communal garden spaces, but I keep finding litter and cigarette butts thrown on them - including a bag that bore his name - on Friday. Neither my husband nor I smoke, but our neighbour does.

ETA: he’s made claims of famous connections before now, among them Bill Gates, Miley Cyrus and Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also insiste he owns his home - including part of the shared garden - but a quick dig on Land Registry found that not to be the case.

Netflix series here we come!!

Would you say he has autism by chance as might give some contributing insight into how his behaviour is especially if he’s got something like Asperger…

OK, so I’m wrong. It’s happened before
Hope he doesn’t bother you too much, anyway.

Nope, he has ADHD, but that’s not an excuse either because i have suspected ADHD

@IntegerX I try not to let him. It’s more a matter of “sorry, I can’t stop, I have to go top-up the black patches on my friend’s cows” but here we are :joy:
