Fantasies thread is locked?

Why did the "What is your sexual fantasy?" Thread get locked?

I believe it got locked because there were posts that kept breaking the rules. If you can find the post then Leanne would have stated why the thread would have been locked.

+1 Bondagegod

Its a topic that's been covered on numerous threads and they have all been closed because of rule breaking and people being too graphic

Hey there

Others are correct.

This topic has cropped up many times , sadly each time the thread breaks the rules. So I closed the old one . Plus it was from back in 2012.

I have also removed the new one you started. Please take a moment to have a look at the rules

Thank you for your understanding

I had a look at the rules; can you point me in the direction of the one that in broke?

This is a sexual site. Also; why are threads from 2012 being closed when people are posting on them?

Sure, rule no 4 : Please keep our Forum Lovehoney friendly by refraining from language which is offensive, unnecessarily graphic, derogatory or inappropriate. Unnecessarily graphic is the one that these threads rule break on. So they get shut down.

The fact that is was from 2012 was why it was intially missed, so now it has been closed.

Yes we are a retail sex toy site but we are just that , a retail site, before we are a community or a forum. Google frowns upon us if we do not stick to said rules.  There for we moderate as we do.

When these type of threads start up usually over a weekend I tend to place a friendly reminder about the use of graphic language as I know that they will be closed down for that reason

I think Jess put some excellent examples in a thread about this very subject using an example with graphic language and then the same example without . They both mean the same thing ecxept one was more acceptable and cleaner.

If you take a look at my posts . I don't use graphic language . I just don't think there is any need.

I think many members on this forum like to discuss sex and sex toys but wouldn't want to read texts that could almost be a sex novel. I think too graphic language can be off putting and makes me not want to join in on the discussion.

That's a bit mind-boggling

We can have threads where state they love their OH coming in their face, their arses etc. We can have threads detailing the girth of dildos and being stretched and threads discussing group sex...

...but if you say those things are a fantasy then the thread gets locked?

Come on. The whole site is NSFW.

I think you only have to look at some of the vivid descriptions in the fantasies thread ,to see that there is a big difference .

And as Sxleksaker as said it does put people off joining in.

Sometimes there are no alernatives one can use for the example you have stated but certainly for say as an example the sexual act itself there are beter words and cleaner words than say the F word .

I prefer to write posts and I have done a lot on roleplaying and allow the reader to fill in the dots and cross the Ts with their imagination wihtout using vulgar or graphic language.

Talking about the girth of a dildo is on-topic for the forum as it relates to the retail side, it's helping people decide on the right product for them, it's not going into extreme detail of how they're going to use that toy. For example: You can say I like to be stretched but extreme detail of the scenario is where it crosses the line. Discussions of group sex aren't necessarily graphic, if people started writing out things they've done in porn-like detail, then it would be rule-breaking.

It might be a sex site, but they are a business and the community is here for advice and sharing of experiences. If people want to talk explicitly then there are tons of other sites for that :)

The site isn't NSFW at all, actually, it's just adults talking about adult things in a respectable way. NSFW generally includes nudity, graphic sexual whatever or graphic language, none of which you will find on here. Talking about the specs of a dildo isn't exactly NSFW and isn't going to break forum rules. Describing in graphic detail how you'd use that dildo is. Stating that you like your OH to cum on a certain part of your body is very different to retelling in great detail the story of last night when he did it. If your post reads more like an erotic novel out take then it's gone too far and will be a rule breaker, but talking about things factually isn't a problem.

On fantasy threads people tend to get carried away and delve more into the world of erotic fiction, they write their fantasies out in great and graphic detail.  Simply stating you have a fantasy isn't a problem and certainly isn't NSFW. Writing out every TMI detail of what you'd like to happen or what you'd do or how you'd react is. Can you understand the difference?

Lovebirds you have put my thoughts to words! 😄👍

I remember finding the example Jess wrote in the two different styles and I thought it was really good to see the difference. I've tried to find it to link it but had no luck. Sometimes it really is not what you say but the way you say it on here. I've been shocked on more than one occasion by what I've read or seen (dodgy profile pics) and it seems to be something that tends to crop up a lot at the weekends as possibly that's when people have more free time and are feeling extra frisky!

Found it! (Forgot I wrote this, so well remembered gang!)
