Funeral Songs

I’m a bit of a nerd at times so one of my songs would be Billy Boyd - The Last Goodbye (from the hobbit/lotr films) and also Avenged Sevenfold - Sieze the day

@VanillaWithSprinkles don’t you think A Little Piece Of Heaven is like a Tim Burton movie set to music? :slightly_smiling_face: That and Nightmare are my favourite tracks by them!

Yes I love the music video for a little piece of heaven! My favourite albums are Nightmare and City of Evil.

@VanillaWithSprinkles and @Fallen666 i love Mike Portnoy’s drums on the Nightmare album, the only fitting replacement for The Rev.

@WillC Totally agree. I went to see them again on the first tour without Rev and it was Mike drumming. Nothing but respect for him stepping in to the band.

I’m biased, Mike is one of my heroes, love everything he does.

Thanks, not many people compliment my choice of music, not allowed most of it on in the house as my wife can’t stand it

@Goth_Girl good choice, we had creed - my sacrifice, I aren’t to hard done by though as my wife did come and watch slipknot with me the beginning of this year and she actually enjoyed it

@Goth_Girl love stone sour also but to be fair I tend to love anything that Corey Taylor does, what a voice whether he’s singing or screaming

I would ask four of my mates to carry my coffin into the service in dark suits, black ties and Raybans. To ‘Little Green Bag’ by George Baker. I’ve always enjoyed Mr. Tarantino’s films, and I hope this raises a smile.

I’d quite like ‘Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby’ by Cigarettes After Sex  but I’m donating my body to medical science so no funeral for me! Would like my friends/family to visit one of my dream locations and play the song for me if I never got the chance to make it there!

Wow. I’ve known and loved the Neil Young version for many years and just listening to Battleme for the first time.
Absolutely brilliant and while it’s playing in the background, it’s just moved on to House of the Rising Sun!! First song I ever learnt to play on guitar.
Thank you for making me 16 again and I’m now committed to watching Sons of Anarchy.
Who says you can’t teach an old dog…? x

It would have to be immigrant song led zeppelin. Been my ringtone for years lol.
Although knowing the OH, she’ll pick Garth Brooks If tomorrow never comes. Fecker never came to Ireland! Nothing beats a bit of country music
