Has this forum helped you in anyway?

@The_Little_Ladybird . You had a very difficult time, but perhaps you do not realise, how much your own story and the way it has panned out , may be providing help and strength to others.x

It’s helped in the fact that we know there are so many other people out there who are active and have healthy kinky sex lives and not just us. We have always enjoyed sex and kinky sex and early on in our marriage the question arises if we actually had a healthy sex life and should we be more vanilla.

Basically yes!!!
Being able to participate in some threads as well as starting a few of my own to vent my spleen has helped a lot.
I wish I was able to post on the more “exotic” threads but that’s unlikely to happen.

@Iwill thank you.

My story was extreme - how people pleasing and lack of boundaries damaged every single relationship I ever had included the one with myself.

Im still a work in process as habits from the past 40 years or so dont fall away in a year. But Im so much better now.

My boyfriend will say “is this a boundary thing?” to check in with me if hes pushing me on something… e.g him insisting on walking me home and me saying that I am fine etc.

I am still quick to cave if something isnt really important (tonight he suggested a different shared starter than what I chose)… I just agreed, he then said, no you wanted nachos…we ll do that!

Divorce being read in court on 13th Dec, … we separated on the 14th Dec last year and Im looking forward to my next chapter x

@The_Little_Ladybird . I picked up on " my boyfriend " …that is really pleasing to hear.
If he is insisting on walking you home , i think he is just being a gentleman and wants to make sure you get home safely. I wouldn’t take that as being possessive.
Keep going with the work in progress.X

I have only recently been going through CBT to help me with anxiety and depression, it is helping me out but not a quick process and takes a lot of adjustment but I am getting and glad it helped you out.

@Goth_Girl . As i said, try to look at it as a new chapter…looking back can’t help you to move forward.
Get your mind cleared , set your goals and strive for them.
What happened is part of the old you, the new you is self determining.
Make 2024 a bright new year.X

Im also sure City will secure the title again.:+1:

yes it has helped my wife and I make decisions on the types of purchases she’s made

Hell yes this forum helped me in so many ways, from venting my spleen and passing on advice, knowledge, words of wisdom(is that the same as the former 2:thinking::thinking::thinking:) to the music games and so much more!
Just knowing there’s supportive non judgemental people on here is great even though I’ve become a little bit of a lurker of late!!!
