Help chhosing please

Hello,

Im new to this (site and toy thing...)

I was after some advice, im looking to buy a toy that i can use with my wife, bearing in mind she hasnt used them before i dont want to for example buy something that will scare her to death and she wont want to use it... ive tried looking through and reading reviews but im still at a bit of a loss for first time buying, i wondered if and one could help point me to a good toy, thinking for internal and clitoral use? any way ill stop going on (i tend to when nervous :-)

any help would be fantastic

Hi jjmmjj,

Welcome!

I'd recommend this:

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17308&reviewid=24385#customer_reviews

It's a great vibe to use on her clit & it's just about big enough to insert & catch all the lovely nerves at the entrance to the vagina. If you're after G-Spot fun you'll need something a bit longer though.

It's waterproof too so you can use it in the shower/bath.

Anyway - have fun

Hi CCW, thank you for your advice ill check that out

Welcome jjmmjj!

This is a great starter toy I reckon: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15342

It's not got the strongest vibrations in the world, but it is a classic and at that price you simply can't go wrong!

Also this one is one of my personal favourites: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14764

Its fab! It has different settings including 3 pulses, which provide quite a different feeling. Plus 2 levels of constant vibration. This one is pretty strong on the highest setting and I love it on my clit. I'd say it's just about the right size for some internal fun without being too big.

Both of the above are unintimidating and very vesatile In my opinion. :-)

again thank you kitty ill look now..

You're quite welcome my dear, good luck in your search for the right toy! xx

thank you, its not easy though is it? there are so many

Oh yeah, there are hundreds out there! - but you've come to the right place

Well... LH have a great offer at the moment for Facebook fans...

A free £5 vibe when you spend over £1!

Why not treat her to something else and pick up the freebie (which is an awesome beginners toy), like a massage candle or some naughty edible bits?

Thats a good idea WA.

This vibe looks good for a first time user. http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14707&reviewid=22486#customer_reviews It's on my wish list so I don't know first hand how good it is but it's very pretty and some reviews say it's rather quite which might be good if you're/she's worried that the noise might put her off.

I agree that it can be hard to find the right vibe, you want something that wont be intimidating to either partner.

CCW wow that vibe looks great *adds to my wish list*

Hello! Welcome to the forums. You may find this thread helpful: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/community/forums/orgasm-army/sex-tips-and-advice/246170-recommendations-for-absolute-beginners/

Welcome to the boards :)

I personally would recommend something like http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=410 as it will stimulate the clit at the same time as penetration and is less daunting than perhaps a rabbit.

However if you want two seperate products id suggest http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=18534 as its quite a classy toy and comes with the nice tin to keep it in and http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16569 as its quite a simple straight forward toy for beginners and also comes in a lovely silver tin. I think presentation is key when buying toys for others as gifts

Hope these help and as mentioned above dont forget to go via the http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/offers/fbsept to get a freebie pocket vibe - its v good x

People have already made lots of suggestions so I'm not going to throw more your way, but I'll give you the advice I learnt when I started out with toys. Start simple. You can always buy something else a bit more fancy later. Better to do that then end up with something too complicated/big/textured thats uncomfortable to use.

hi emma,

the first one you exampled, would this be a good idea for a first toy? its kind of what i was thinking but i dont want to,, i dont know put her off?

Thanks all for your advice so far, god its not easy though, i really didnt realise that there were so amny different textures and materials they were made of

I'd just start off with something small and cheap- and nothing realistic looking! The facebook freebie that WandA recommended, a bullet or a ladyfinger. It'll get you started without having invested too much money if you don't like it. Then once you've tried something you'll have a better idea about what you like/don't and it'll be easier for you to choose something a bit fancier in the future:).

Worth having a look JJ

If you did want something for simultaneous clitoral and internal stimulation then the Jessica Rabbits are pretty good

I have the slimline one below and even though I'm personally not a massive fan of insertables I did actually quite enjoy it:

xxKPxx

thank you all for your help, im still deciding on what to go for but from what you have all said is insertable not the way to go? is a clitoral vibrator the best for me to buy?

I think that's a good idea, pick something clitoral (that can perhaps be inserted a little for experimentation purposes). She'll soon be converted and desperate to try more.
