My sex life is amazing and I couldn’t ask for more, so this is just another fun game to add to it that I’m looking for some input and/or inspiration on.
I bought some blank flashcards and a sharpie, and I plan to write on each one of them a sex toy or piece of bondage that we own. So if we had 30 things then that’s 30 cards, for example.
My idea for when we want to play this game is to decide in advance how many cards we’re going to pick up, and then after they’ve been chosen we need to ensure that the entire sex session is centred around whatever we picked up (or they at least feature really heavily!).
So for example we could end up picking up four cards, which may be 1) flogger, 2) cock ring, 3) blindfold, and 4) spreader bar.
I might also throw in or create another separate deck of specific sexual acts too for good measure, eg mutual masturbation, masturbate eachother only, oral on her only, CIM etc.
I’d welcome any thoughts, but also putting it out there in case anyone likes the idea and wants to do the same.

Perhaps separate the cards into objects / toys and activities.
Then you could take it in turns to pick up one card from each pile and carryout that activity on the other person.
So it might flogger on one card and arse 10x on the other.
Great idea! I also like the follow up of splitting them into activities/numbers/toys. We have a bunch of different sex dice and cards that work in that way.
We like to assign certain toys to cards and use the numbers to decide how many spanks, or seconds etc. Jokers or the Jacks/Queens/Kings can be used to switch dom/sub if that’s your thing 
Maybe, but I’ve seen some hens like that before and you end up sometimes with obscure things like ‘flogger’ and ‘tongue’, or ‘kiss’ snd ‘elbow’ etc. Which is why I think that avoiding body parts is probably best.

How do your favourite games (similar to this) work? Any good ideas that can be changed.
As I mentioned above, my issue with some of these pre-set games has been that they can make weird combinations which we both know either won’t work, or one of us won’t be into at all.
I did consider what you suggested above of allocating things with certain times etc, but I felt that would come natural in the moment anyway (an attempt to not overcomplicate it).
I like this idea, it means you’ll always be trying some new combination. It also means that some things that you might not use as much, get to be the star.
I would separate toys from slappy bitey things and give them their own category. But also have an activity category like watersports, shower sex, homemade porn, anything else that you enjoy as an activity.
Maybe a positions category too, you could use the PotW: The Massive One thread for choices amd include a rule that you have to at least try it. Obvs put down feasible choices.
Sounds like fun. If you have some success, could you share a photo of your cards please for inspiration. I struggle with communication with the wife. But if we write down some ideas each, then we can talk about it and experiment!

That was a big part of the inspiration. In particular as I’m guilty of reaching for the same things, and almost forgetting entirely about others - which is easy to do as the collection is sizeable now.

I can make as many categories as I want, as all I need to do is just buy another colour sharpie, and buy more cards. I’m just conscious of not making it too difficult.
I like the idea of activities, and had that pencilled down in my notes, but I don’t know if that’s overengineering it. Maybe I could just try it anyway and if it doesn’t work out then I’ve only wasted a £5.
Got the positions cards from LH, so maybe I’m good for that one, but maybe I could incorporate specific fun ones using specific toys - like a position specific to the spreader etc 
Slappy bitey things - like impact implements, clamps, violet wand, things like that.
Gags, blindfolds and restraints should just be free items that can be added if requested.

Sure. I can do that. Can I also make another suggestion? I personally find sometimes it’s easier to write things down, and have the other person read it. It feels almost like less pressure, and allows you to be more open and honest, and less ‘in the moment pressure’ and less opportunity to say something in a way you don’t intend.
So maybe, this is something I’ve done in the past, write down a bunch of thoughts, and general things you are interested in/not interested in/open to etc, ask her to do the same, and just exchange notes.
Eg on a scale of 1-5 how interested are you in (a, b, and c activities), and any comments you feel are important.
It may not work for you, but just a suggestion.

@MrSilverback Theres a quiz called Carnal Calibration . I recommend you both do it as it will give you lots of suggestions of things to try and discuss.
I did also consider outfit specific too, but it does definitely overcomplicate it - though I did consider a card that just says to put something hot on (or words to that effect).
I think part of the appeal may be the swings and roundabouts elements of it in that one day you may have a one card of something more low key like nipple clamps, but another day you could choose three and it may be 3 heavy hitters!

Categorising the bitey things would be hard for me bc it depends what kind of pain I need.
I can only describe it by the implement, today I wanted nipple biting and knifeplay pain. Ok so nipple biting is a constant since we discovered I orgasm from it. But I wanted a bit more and wanted binder clips too but we got a bit too excited by the biting and the clips were put away.
But as you say, choosing cards is its own activity and you’ll enjoy whatever you do bc its all part of the fun and experience.
