Point one is very likely to be playing a massive part. From experience of being on the pill until 2020 when we decided to try for a baby the difference in my drive is a complete 180. The artificial hormones do an absolute number on you something I’d like to avoid ever experiencing if at all possible. The size of the warning sheet that comes in the box with all the side effects is unreal. I didn’t actually realise it was that bad until I came off them and my drive went through the roof - went from birthdays and special occasions to multiple times a day initially now it’s a few times a week. May be worth looking at the side effects of the one she’s on plenty of forums with other women’s experiences of them and if she is approachable about the subject then the possibility of trying a different method obviously completely her choice.
