I have gathered you all here as I have a couple of questions that I have not found an answer to by a forum search; thank you for popping in.
Jewelled plugs are lovely to look at, my favorite kind of plug so far but the more that I wash it, the uglier the jewel looks! The foil is getting damaged by the water :( Am I the only one with this problem? (I should point out that the plug is not from here and I have had it for a while).
My other question is about sizes. Is the biggest steel jewelled plug a 3.5 circumference? I have bigger plugs but I love the jewelled ones so do I have to decide between the two?

Thank you for your response Kinky Mira, they certainly are beautiful. The XL is a little ahead of me and I just received one the same size as the medium so not sure that these ones would benefit me currently although I do appreciate the recommendation.
I noticed in the reviews that some people have “lost” theirs during wear, I hope that it isn’t too personal to ask if you have experienced this? Of course I understand if it is.
No, I haven't lost mine. I've only just got the XL one, but I've worn the medium one a lot. I could see how losing it might be possible though - I would say you do have to be careful in your movements whilst wearing it, whereas my go to silicone plug has longer base, so it has no chance of being sucked in. I did find myself checking the medium one quite a bit, especially in the early days when I didn't really know what it felt like.
Thank you for your honesty. The jewelled one I have is a 3.5. I was going to the icicles no.48 which is a 4 and decided that that may be a bit of a jump so also purchased the icicles no.79 which is a 3.75; it is cut like a jewel and is pretty but not as much as a jewel.
I think the thing that has concerned me with those toys is the join between the base and the neck. If you look at these two images (from Lovehoney's listings)

Do you see that the base to neck join is more of a right angle on the Snelling, and more shaped on the Icicles? I've always thought that the shaping of the Icicles one (or other similar ones) would promote being sucked it, whereas the more pronounced corner on the Snelling acts as more of a stop. I've never bought an Icicles one, so I don't know if this is true, but that was my thought process.
Hmm yes, I do see what you mean. I don’t think that the 48 is as much as a concern as the 79.
Darn it, can we have some 99.9% will not disappear plugs please? Haha
Long base hun. My go to non-metal plug is now discontinued by Lovehoney (this one: https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25475) but the base is long enough that it isn't disappearing, regardless of what you do.
