If anyone, into a D/s relationship, has been to a dungeon? I have seen these advertised on the net, and wondered if it could be an interesting experience?
Would love to go to one, but the only one I know of around here is a swingers hotel and that doesn't really interest us. I just like the idea of a discrete dungeon with nobody else around. I'd love to buy a house with a basement that I could turn into a secret dungeon for me & Mrs h

Yes thankyou all for your replies. Not sure that was what I was looking for. The ones I have seen advertised on the net are for you to hire for a couple of hours, or for one or two days and nights. Like a hotel or apartment that incorprates a dungeon! We are new to this and old, really old, compared to many on this forum. We are looking for a new experience for just the two of us.
We are both quite shy, and we wanted to know how decreet these places are, and any tips for choosing one.
I understand. It is hard finding feedback of peoples experiences of a night at XYZ so it is harder to find good, genuine places. Sorry, I have never used one so cannot give any help but I do believe these places exist and I still think some of the answers above might help...EG joining a community online with shared interests (Like Fetlife) and asking around those groups, because they will know how, when, where, how much and was it any good.
Unfortunately here is a more broad range of people and finding one or two who have experienced this might be possible but finding hoards of them, espcially ones who live in the area you need to find the dungeon etc, might be few and far between, so I think finding a kink community may be a big help. Fet has forums on all kinds of specialist subjects and I think if you ask around, you may be able to find more info.

we've never been to one, i know Hub looked into it and then decided that he could buy a couple of props, make a couple more and we would be able to enjoy many of the same facilities/'things' at home. Think for us this works better, there;s no feeling of having to rush/use everything. Depends i guess whether the idea of an 'awayday' is more appealing, and whether there's space at home to temporarily convert/use a room for play.
all our stuff breaks down to be hidden and that's really just 3 bits of furniture, the other 'props' are things that we had anyway...
I was hoping you might come into this discussion "fluffbags' as you seem to talk a lot of sense, by what I've previously read of yours. However I am not sure joining Fetlife is for us. I think we might find it a bit much. I do see your point about a broad range of people on here, although there does seem to be quite a few into D/s relationships. We can travel to most parts of the country, probably for an overnighter, so that's not a problem. As ever, good advice, thankyou. Will think about it.

We went to Erotica last year and there we met a really helpful professional Domme that actually uses Fetlife and helped us out with this.
So there are several sites (off the top of my head Forbiddenvault.com and Hoxtondungeonsuite.co.uk) that you can rent either by the hour or over night that have all the equipment under the sun (fucking machines, spiderwebs, crosses, you name it).
This was pure amazing for us, were not really into Fetlife nor are we into using the BDSM clubs nights but these rooms are just ideal and also quite reasonably priced.
Hi Kinkyqueen .. i have been inside a few dungeons but they were all privately owned .. i agree with JJane above .. if this is something you want to try, look at what is on offer online then create your own D based on what you and your OH like .. my own D can be created in a matter of an hr and put away again in much the same time .. x

Yes, we could create our own Dungeon, we have already acquired a few items. We were just thinking of a one - off experience. Try something different, a couple of nights away etc. A sort of romantic - dirty weekend, he,he!
