I’m sorry to say that they couldn’t be migrated over into the new format (there was an announcement thread where @Lovehoney_Nick went into what to expect from the swop over, but it looks like it’s disappeared now).
New photos can be uploaded to the Your Photos category. But… you’ll have to be at Trust Level 2 before you get that privilege (you work up the Trust Levels the more you engage). Only the staff got bumped up higher than TL1, so we’re all in the same boat at the moment.
