PH blocked?

I used to visit pornhub anonymusly, I’ve never set up an account. this morning I tried to get in and there is a message about how my state has blocked access without age verification.

it only has a model/member log in link…and since I never set an account up, I just cannot click “forgot password”

questions that come to mind are…

has anyone else (US based) noticed this?

what are some safe, free alternative sites that anyone can recommend?

Oh that’s weird.

I use duckduckgo to access it now. I still only have the ‘I am over 18 - enter’. I don’t have to verify myself or anything. Just click and it let’s me in.

I’m UK so maybe that’s it. I did read they were going to introduce this and the only way to access it was uploading a driver licence or passport photo, so it might be coming our way soon.

It actually has been for quite a few years now but the government hasn’t inforced it yet.

there are a handful of states over here that require this, perhaps mine was recently added to the list?

I’m googling on PH about getting a model account and yeah there are instructions regarding uploading photo ID.

I get the intent behind this, protecting themselves and others…the only thing I recall uploading a photo ID for in recent years was to open a Crypto account.

oh and duckduckgo didn’t work. while it may be anonymous and burn up browsing history it still knew my location.

any suggestions of alternate sources for viewing pleasures @ChloJakes ?

Hmm strange… have you tried it in a different browser by chance?
Might just be a fluke and will go back to normal in a day or so

Oh that’s a bum. I think there’s another secret browser you can try, but I can’t for the life of me remember the name. It was between that and duckduckgo, I chose from.

Unfortunately not, PH is also my go to!

Another way is to use a VPN Browser that why you can select UK.

I’m in the states and was able to access PH no problem.

I’m afraid if your state has been added to the list requiring ID to view content, then, as @teacake states, using a VPN is the only way around it.

Xhamster
Xvideos
Belessa
Etc

PH was the first to implement it. Xhamster and a few more have now too. Blame your state legislature. I think Utah and Virginia are the only ones right now but expect other states to follow. You can guess which ones.

Get a VPN and change your state.

There are tons of link removed by mod type sites these days. I like a site called xvideos but it is not as much a home grown type porn… more professional type amateurs. What I like about it is I can find pretty much any kink or interest including gay and trans content. They of course have a paid upgrade memberships but tons and tons of free content.

Opera has built in vpn on android at least

I found that didn’t work well when I was using Opera.

A VPN is worth having in general, for privacy and security.
