Rant Thread - Get it all out here

To be honest I meant it to be funny, I am often sarcastic about practically perfect “Mandy”! :joy:

Recently saw on This Morning a lady making clothes washing liquid out of conkers (I kid you not!) and it looked liked someone had had a wank into a jar!

I said i bet “Mandy” does that! :joy:

I’d be holding myself back daily from replying the same

Just a quick rant!! Put in an order yesterday and chose premium for delivery today!! It’s not arriving until tomorrow which is not the end of the world… I havent ordered anything in a while, when did LH start using Amazon logistics??

Its always been Amazon logistics for premium I think?!. I looked back at my orders and it was in April 2023 @ajs72

Edit: It was the same in Sept 2025.

I think it all depends on various circumstances. I ordered some paint off Amazon on Sunday lunchtime expecting delivery on Monday, it actually came at 7.30pm on Sunday.

I did say it had been a while since my last order, that was 2 years ago!!

Previously I only ever remember getting premium/express deliveries from Royal Mail, except for one time a parcel came via DPD…

No problem @ajs72 - I wasn’t sure how long a while was, that’s why I give a few dates  Hope you enjoy your order :two_hearts:

Only just seen your posts here @Knight1119 You’re not naive and you shouldn’t feel that you need to keep your feelings or problems to yourself unless that’s what you want.

Therapy can be helpful but it depends on the person you are seeing, your own way of thinking and what specialisms your therapist has. Do you know what type of therapy you have tried so far? Some examples are people centred, CBT, gesalt, EMDR etc. All are good for different things and different types of people. If you’ve tried one and didn’t find it helpful then try a different type. Do some research into the different types and how they work and see if any appeal more. Then look at the individual therapists, do they have a specialism? For example, if you have childhood trauma, find someone with a specialism in trauma, if you have relationship issues, find someone who specialises in relationships etc. if you are neurodivergent or think you might be, look for a neurodivergent therapist or one who has experience of working with neurodivergent clients. Don’t feel bad about asking for their experience and asking what qualifications they have / what CPD they have done. The biggest issue with therapy is the cost, if you haven’t tried the NHS talking therapies service it’s worth a try and charities like Mind and Rethink offer free sessions in some areas.

The other thing to consider is talking to your GP and seeing what they suggest.

I put an order in on thursday, wasn’t in a rush for it and as it was over £50 it was free delivery, checked on Evri tracker on Saturday and they said there was a delay but it would be delivered next working day, which was Monday but didn’t arrive contacted evri today they said it had got left behind in the hub but still not delivered today. I am getting worried it will go missing, won’t be the first time

Boy, do I feel that… @Oldman & @WillC
As a caregiver myself once upon a time, there’s a lot I can get into; however, I’ll just say this:
I wish I could’ve appreciated their company the way others did instead of dealing with the endless stressors that came with being a caregiver that salted my hair before I’m even 30…

I’ve found it’s always the “friends and family” that won’t lift a finger that guilt trip you…
in short when you ask for help / a break:
“I have my own life to live”
yeah, like mines disposable; now I’m just playing catchup with what I didn’t get to do and experience.

Thanks Kitty-Cat01, I’ve tried Psychotherapist, Psychodynamic therapist, Sex and Relationship therapist, Hypnotherapist (I couldn’t be hypnotised after multiple attempts), CBT, Psychosexual therapist. I discussed my issues with all of them, some recommended one type, others recommended another. One recently said because I have OCD I’m autistic. I’m trying one more in a couple of weeks, a referral, I’m just hoping this one actually helps, it’s been a very costly & unpleasant journey so far. Sadly the NHS has too long waiting times

I hope the referral works out well for you, it’s a positive step and I’m glad you’ve decided to give it another go.

Yes, the waiting lists are awful at the moment. You could get onto the lists anyway, you can always turn it down when you get to that point?

Um, that doesn’t sound right. There is a higher prevalence of OCD in autistic people I believe, but just because you have OCD doesn’t mean you are autistic. Maybe the therapist thought you might be autistic for other reasons but didn’t explain themselves very well?

Thanks very much for your kind words and advice @Kitty-Cat01

Fucking sick to death already and got another 3 or 4 weeks of obnoxiously loud fireworks. I thought Diwali was a festival of light, not 3 hours every night of living in a fucking war zone. Then we have bonfire week to endure. My nerves are shredded already and my dog is hating it. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth::face_with_symbols_on_mouth::face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Here’s a rant after looking around:
Why do all the quality products stop at a certain size?
I wouldn’t mind a double or triple density toy in a cozy size, or just platinum silicone would be nice too.

For more clarification, what’s cozy to me, is:
3.50in circumference which is 2 of my fingers stacked together; and I know I can go to 4.00 given I have a toy that size and it works just great.
However, the variety is lacking when it comes down to it in terms of design.
And don’t even get me started on the questionable-ness of the toys that are in that size range because they’re pretty cheap which doesn’t inspire much confidence.

I’ve been in alot of pain lately and playing it down. So I finally started to get the ball rolling with treatment, so i booked a physio through my work. I’m on my third appointment and I’m getting worse. I’ve had to take painkillers, and because of my work I don’t take painkillers normally. I get drug checked and its easier to not have anything than phone up & explain if you have taken anything, total hassle.

Anyway, 2 of my appointments the physio has not touched me, so when trying to explain I keep getting stupid exercises to do, one isolates my traps and engages the shoulder to help build that muscle…doesn’t work. My trap BURNS doing it, better than anything I do in the gym

The “sessions” are only 20mins each aswell, I personally don’t see the point in them now, im glad i didnt pay for them, and I’m more annoyed that I just didn’t go get a sports massage or osteopath.

Anyways that’s my rant, thanks for reading.
