After shaving my bits a while ago, ordered by my girl! I am now enjoying the benefits of a bald package. Didn't think I'd like it at first and was reluctant to de fuzz, but I must admitt I would now never go back. the only probelm is the upkeep, which is a bit of a pain, and the itch. I was considering a wax but not to keen on going into a salon on being on all fours whilst by bumhole is waxed by a complete stranger, but maybe like the shaving, I would get used to it. Anyway, there's a place near me which offers something by the name of baseball wax! balls, bat, dugout! haha.

Hi, I'm female but I can answer the waxing query. I have had waxes before and althogh initially they can be uncomfortable/slightly stingy and painful (on a scale of 1-10 where 1 doesn't hurt to 10 which is very painful, I'd say it's prob about a 5/6 but then I have a very god pain threshold). The result are amzing and can last up to 4-6wks, with not so ugly regrowth as what you get from shaving. I continue to shave though as I find waxing can be pricey and can't afford the upkeep and occasionally the wax strips don't seem to catch all my hairs and I'm left looking like one of them chicken from tesco that still has a few feathers attatched so for me personally it's not too effective, nor do I have the time to sit in a salon for a hour or so having my legs and pussy waxed! lol.
hope this helps. I don't mind a neatly trimmed sack on a guy but if the other is slightly more hairier, I'm afraid it would be a bit of a turn off for me but that's personal preference.

Just to add one final bit, if you decide to keep shaving, in time it will not feel so itchy/uncomfortable. I had that problem at first but after a few wks, I barely noticed it, but do beware of shaving rash as I'm sure being a guy you know all about, I can't shave more than twice a wk down there otherwise I get really bad burning type red rashes. And it helps if you use a very good razor, I'm currently using the girly pink wilkinson sword quatro 4x blade, I have never cut myslef using it as it has a little foil mesh guard but still gets uber close!!!
and just to pre-warn you on the waxing front, if you do choose to go ahead and get a wax, occasionally you do get stray hairs that the wax strip doesn't catch, so the technician may use a pair of tweezers to pluck them out which can be a little uncomfortable.
The thing about waxing as well is having to grow the hair back to the minimum reqired length, three weeks of hair growth would be a real pain. I think they can wax as short as 3/4mm, maybe even 2mm now so veet claim. If you opt to shave I would strongly recommend as good quality shave gel, one for sensitive skin possibly with aloe if you can get one, they are quite common. the aloe acts as a soothing agent to help calm the skin and reduce irritations.

as regards the wilkonson sword quatro razor 4x blades, they do also for men too, exactly the same without the girly pink colour. Initially it'll set you back about £5 for the razor and 1 blade, then you can get the replacemnt blades which just click onto it, I think a pack of 3/4 cost about £6. expensive I hear you think? well yes, but I personally wouldn't use any other razors out there now as I get cut to ribbons and get knicked for speeding.lol. I don't get that with these ones. they are well worth every penny and pound and for me, a woman who shaves all the time, one blade can last me up to 1 month.
