Can anybody recommend some good shape wear for under my wedding dress I'm looking for something to smooth out my lumps and bumps mostly my thighs and tummy. I'm a size 18-20 with 38GG boobs. I looked on Debenhams but they stop at a D cup on their dress slips.
I'm getting married this year too and have spent ages looking around at shapewear. Fresh Pair is a very good site and Spanx have an EU website that's great too. M&S have some good shapewear if you'd prefer to visit a store rather than a website.
Have you thought about going back to the shop where you bought the dress and asking them? Also, you could go to a speciality lingerie shop and talk with someone who could give you advice. Hope you find something. The shapewear is turning into the most complicated part for me!
Hi have you thought of something like this. you wear your own bra with it. also try Bravissimo for bras. get to store if you can they fit bras like no one else they are amazing.

Have a look on simply yours. They have a great underbust slip, but that would depend on what style your wedding dress is :)
Allready a huge fan of bravissimo for bras so going there for my bra i got the dress second hand so can't go to the shop but i may try a specialist lingerie shop though.
the dress is strapless so the shapewear needs to be strapless too.

I think Charnos do some larger size body shapers but have you thought about a longline corset under your dress? It obviously depends on the style of your dress but corsets are still the best shapewear out there I think and a longline style that comes down over your hips like http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25499 would make a great silhouette for your dress.
Obviously you'd need it in a different colour but there are many great corset makers out there like Vollers and Snobz. If you use google or Ebay you'll find a few good companys that supply steel boned corsets in many colours and sizes.

The wedding is at the beginning of October so still a bit of time yet. When's your big day?
I'm going for a seperate bra and slip or possibly shorts. I want stuff that I'll use again and I'd have no other use for a full slip. You can get shapewear with hooks that clip to your bra so they wont roll down.
Also, I'm with Purring Tiger on corsets. They're amazing. There are some great long-line ones out there or you could go for an underbust one and wear a different bra. Most bridal collections will do nice bustiers too.
You've plenty of options anyways.

Bravissimo is indeed amazing with their fitting. They can make ANYONE into a D cup, no matter how tight the band. You don't need to breathe, do you? 
End of June so getting closer i think i will look into corsets as they look like they would support my breasts better than a strapless bra and i could spend alittle more as i wont need the bra. Also a corset is a bit more fun for the wedding night than a slip.

There is a Spanish company that I found ion the internet (and I have Forgotten their name, I will look and re post for your tomorrow ) but they do a g string shaper in cream white or other colours not too sure what other stuff they do but it is fab. Hope that may help x
