Sizing question

One last question (promise!) before I actually go ahead and place my order - need to do it soon otherwise it'll never get here in time for my birthday/our anniversary (which is the same day). Anyway, after having stayed up until 1 this morning browsing the site - OH away overnight so since this is a surprise for him and a treat for me I took advantage of it - I now have the following items in my basket.

The chemises I have to choose between are these: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24889 which the reviews are good about. and http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28108 Have chosen the Medium.

I also added 2 bodystockings (have never used them before) have one which I ordered elsewhere and it is horrendous - really nasty. The 2 for £20 is just such a good deal, isn't it? Too good not to take advantage of? And they can be worn to work and nobody will realise that it's not just a pair of fancy tights. http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=27326 and http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=27703

And for corsets: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16664 or http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22637.

The only problem I have are my measurements :( I'm a 36 - 26 - 37 which written down looks pretty balanced and good, but in reality, well 3 pregnancies have taken their toll. I think the medium should be ok, only area I'm worried about with the chemises are my boobs as there may be a bit overspill... but I'll just be wearing them in the bedroom not to do the weekly shop. As for the corset, since my waist measures a 26, if I go with the bluebella I need to order a 22 (eek) but one of the reviews said it is small made. Only thing I'm concerned about with a shorter corset/basque is having bits squidge out the bottom but if I go up a size it won't be tight on the body. Oh god, it was easier when I didn't have to think about these things and just wore whichever undies I haven't to grab from the drawer first thing in the morning ;)

Anyway people if you would kindly look at the links above and say which you think is best. The bodystockings I think should stay, shouldn't they, I mean they are practical (kind of), and nobody knows you're wearing them.

I can't afford to buy everything (lost my job in June and live in an employment blackspot) so can't totally splash out and rather than have a romantic weekend away we are going to have a romantic weekend at home (not sure how it's going to pan out as the kids will be at home too - will just need to have them up at the crack of dawn and run them ragged so they get to bed super early).

I'm sorry to bug you on this, but know that I can totally trust you for honest advice :)

Have no advice on sizing, but LH have a really good free returns policy - so would you be able to order the lot, and then send back whichever ones don't fit? Short term high cost but long term satisfaction?

I have just ordered this chemise myself as I think it is really gorgeous! http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24889 Also I think it looks more flattering then the other one. However one of the reviews does say that it was a squeeze for their DD cup chest so if you are a larger size then that I would opt for the other one :)

I have never owned a body stocking as I imagine them to be very unflattering round my post baby size 14 tum. However I think the 2 for £20 is a great deal and both the ones you have chosen are beautiful! I had never thought of wearing them under clothes as tights, what a great idea! Now I want one lol!

As for the corsets I have found plastic boning as the Sweet streak one has can bend and look very bad! Whereas the other corset has steel boning. But the reviews for both are great though so I think it's really a case of which you prefer xx

Thanks for replies - I am tempted in the sort term high cost long term satisfaction option, but knowing me I am likely just to keep them all anyway (not a good idea). Also I live overseas and the postal system where I live is atrocious (parcels get opened and emptied en-route to destination, go missing, and sometimes never arrive - and that isn't mentioning the 2hr queues on pension days to actually get to the counter!).

But actually having had a break and coming back and looking closer I think the first chemise is more me than the second - so decision is made.

xmorningxgloryx - I did say the 2 for £20 was too good an offer to resist! if you were to go and buy a pair of patterned posh tights they would cost quite a bit if you went for good ones. You can wear these even with a cami/vest top underneath and team it with a skirt - I reckon it would look fab. I reclon my OH would get the shock of his life were I to wear it with a skirt suit to his mum's for Sunday lunch.

I do have a corset with plastic boning which has never been worn - hadn't really considered the possibility of it bending. But steel boning is just going to give a much better shape isn't it-am thinking Jane Russell in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Thanks again folks, your help/advice is much appreciated
