Testing toys

Hi all i’m super new to this , only signed up two days ago! I’m really interested in the likelihood of being picked. I want to buy some new toys from love honey but if it’s likely to be picked to try out toys i may hold off and give these ones a try.

In simple terms my question basically is , is it likely to be picked to try out toys?

If you’ve written around 10 good quality reviews then there is a chance to be picked, although there are more people wanting to be picked than toys available. Make sure you are voting on the tester list as you are more likely to get your first tester from there

One thing to keep in mind, is there is more people wanting to test than products available.

This is a good place to start;

Patience goes a long way in my experience when wanting to become a tester

Amazing thank you for the reply. I’m thinking it may take a while to be picked as i’ve only bought a few toys from LH i’ve mainly been gifted underwear so have only around 8-9 reviews.

Fingers crossed though!!

You’re also a lot more likely to be selected for items similar to those you have already reviewed, rather than something completely different.

From what i know you must read the post on testing requirements, there needs to be a number of reviews you have written first and various other things and then you put your name forward. I would expect the number of candidate is large but as they say with the lottery, you have to be in it to win in.

Yeah I’d second everything thats been written up there ^^ . I’ve tested a handful of secret and not so secret things and am currently putting one through its paces.

.

In all fairness to LH I’d just point out that its not a freebie. Some of these things are expensive, some are prototypes. In return you’re expected to do some work. To evaluate it honestly and then write about it. Positively or negatively, its doesn’t matter so long as its genuine. In the case of secret tests you’ll be expected to fill in a questionaire thats tailored to that product.

But as they say, you have to be in it to win it. So if you’ve got 7-10 reviews on items you’ve bought from LH, then there’s no harm in trying. Brenna said she spends a lot of time pairing the right product with the right tester and there’s a lot of competition, so be patient.

I’ve ended up testing products and I’ve only been on here a couple of months. I did review things purchased on here (I think I had 7 reviews at the time) but I check often and put my name down for anything of interest to me and only if I can meet the deadline. I also don’t know if it helped but I did try and read through some forum posts and began interacting with a couple (as well as the tester ones)

So I don’t generally vote anything with a quick turnaround for things I’d want to test with a partner and I don’t tick anything male specific (I’ve not reviewed anything used by him so it doesn’t qualify) or anything I don’t think I’d give a fair test to (some things don’t really appeal so my review would automatically be skewed more to a “not for me”.

Be honest in your reviews (good and bad), definitely have a look at the “how to write a good review” stuff as well.

Maybe you’ll be lucky and get to test something but it’s not a guarantee by any means (more testers than products).

Oh and if you’re thinking lingerie, send in your measurements (I’ve only just done this and never got any acknowledgement (is this normal?) as testers are only picked if they know sizes on that apparently.

Thats a good point about time. Life has a habit of getting in the way and that two weeks or even a month flies by very quickly. The time is counted from the day of dispatch, so keep an eye on your email and work it out from that.
