The Great Pub Quiz Game Thread

I’ve had few weird emoji fails in Emoji Charades. The forum list also has extra ones in than my phone (not just the new LH custom ones).

:pinching_hand: :pinching_hand: is quite a useful one.

I also had a little go at strikethrough, and it doesn’t seem to like striking through just an emoji on its own.

Forgot to say… toast, maybe grapes and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Always worked for me as a kid! Hope you feel :running_woman::man_lifting_weights: :swimming_woman: :violin: again soon.

Strangely, I actually understood that better now you put it like that. :slightly_smiling_face:

For some reason those emoji’s will not follow on from each other properly :woman_shrugging:t2:

Basically, bar very minor semantics, 100% between you @VanillaWithSprinkles and @SexInTheCity.

So glad you both got number 3, I was starting to think I should have used a less questioning person, maybe a more sickly one :sneezing_face:

Number 3 was definitely ‘Why does it always rain on me?’. I’m going to have to mark your answers down a point.

Why didn’t I think of this!!! :joy::joy:

Don’t know what to tell you Mr. Chimp… @VanillaWithSprinkles and @SexInTheCity managed to get it right :rofl:.

“Why does it always rain on me?” is a song not a figure of speech phrase :woman_shrugging:t2::see_no_evil:

I thought Bashing The Bishop was a common phrase!

I’m not even sure how to respond to that. :slightly_smiling_face:

:sun_behind_small_cloud::cloud_with_snow::cloud_with_rain::tornado:
:sneezing_face::coffin:

Or, alternatively,

:poop::wave:

Feeling Shit

:rofl:

…Okay your first is better than mine, though hopefully people feeling under the weather don’t end up dead :crossed_fingers:t2:. Are you feeling better today?

The alternative however, well I’m pretty sure you’re waving at shit there rather than feeling it?

I am feeling better, but only by about 5%. :slightly_smiling_face: I can now do chores in 15 minute bursts before thinking effit, and having to sit down. :slightly_smiling_face:

Is there much difference between waving and stroking? :slightly_smiling_face: Don’t make me circle back round to the figure of speech thing. :slightly_smiling_face:

But, seriously, thank you for the game. :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

I am glad you are feeling better albeit only a little bit.

Yes - You are allowed to wave at your neighbours from 2m away, you are not allowed to stroke them.

:+1:t2: Well played Mr. Chimp, well played!

You’re right, proximity is key. :+1:

Okay… full disclosure, number 10 is REALLY hard! It is an invitation and a reply to that invitation that for some weird reason I was taught as a kid and still remember. 3 of the above were written in a lot of my school exercise books along with two others that I now can’t think of. (Yes, I was a geek!)

Hints for 10… It’s in French, you require basic knowledge of the French language, with this the reply (on the right) is easy to work out… the invitation (on the left) requires a bit of knowledge of venues in Germany too! :rofl:

Good Luck!
