@VanillaWithSprinkles you’re very, very good at them!

I only differ on number 3 but the fact you and @Cassii have both put Parenting Police… is that a thing I haven’t heard of? Your answer obviously fits the letters clue perfectly but the term I have in mind is rather better known (at least to me! :joy:)

Ooooh this required a lot of thinking!

Ahh I have had a sneaky look at @SexInTheCity’s answer for 3 and it makes more sense! What I put I think is a term(?) It’s like a mommy shamer type deal.

:thinking: @Peitho I have a technical quibble. :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed::slightly_smiling_face:

Surely the police aren’t the ‘law’. They just enforce it. :slightly_smiling_face: (unless it’s Judge Dredd. But he operates in a different jurisdiction).

So I have very handily rewritten the Rebus to take this into account. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:

 I have been waiting for a chance to quote number 10 at you Mr. Chimp but it was taking too long so I had to put it in a quiz instead!

Anyway, again, just for you this time…
STAND   TAKE     2     TAKINGS
  I     YOU   THROW   MY
:joy::rofl: Thanks for giving me the chance!

But yeh, you’re technically right though from a brief Google I can give you one example as quoted from, “Stop and Search: The views and experiences of Black communities on complaining to the police” A study conducted for the Metropolitan Police Authority, June 2004.

“The Police are the law, there is nobody above them.”

It is a statement provided by someone unnamed in the survey but an opinion expressed by many apparently.

I admit I don’t think my evidence would stand up to peer review!

If it makes you feel better I believe ‘the Law’ is a metonym for the Police, so you’re all good really. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:

I’m starting to think ian_chimp is getting a reputation as a bit of a stickler. :slightly_smiling_face: I jokingly ‘off-topiced’ @WillC for talking about jaffa cakes in a biscuit topic, and I think people thought I was serious. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ll pop a few easy pinks in from across the sets to see if we like them. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:

Always green for me :green_heart:

Yeah got to say general knowledge is such minimal effort (either know it or you don’t) I can whip out answers quite quickly, I do absolutely love the picture rounds, thinking rounds, rebus rounds and the product searching rounds but I often look at them and put them off for another time where I can put full effort in (which often never comes and I end up accidentally missing the deadline).
