Hey All!
I think it is time we come together to create another Lovehoney Forum guide. First we started with the The Lovehoney Forum's Guide to Pegging! (Wiki), now let’s do squirting!
I will make this topic a Wiki, and I will edit this bit away once we’ve got it to a good place.
If you have any questions you would like to know the answer to, or questions you think may be helpful to future readers, pop them down below.
If you have helpful information, or answers to the questions, hit the ‘edit’ button on this post to contribute to the guide
Hopefully this makes sense!
Happy Wiki-ing!
The Lovehoney Forum's Guide to Squirting!
What is Squirting?
Squirting is a sexual phenomenon that involves the involuntary emission of a clear, thin liquid from the urethra during sexual stimulation. Different from female ejaculate but can happen at the same time.
Contrary to some beliefs, ‘squirt’ isn’t urine. It comes from the urethra, so it’s possible to have some traces of urine, but it has a different taste and smell to urine.
When you’re close to squirting, it can feel like you need to pee, if you use the toilet beforehand, it will help you to be confident that your bladder is empty. Or, if you enjoy watersports, a full bladder orgasm with squirting can be a lot of fun
Can any one with a vagina squirt?
Some research say 10 to 54 percent of women can. Some research says all women can but just don’t know how. From my experience, no, not all women can squirt and that’s ok. Some don’t at all, some is just a little bit and some like me is alot. Each woman is different
What makes you squirt?
Clit stimulation and hitting my g-spot (spongy area 2 to 3 inches inside vagina the top side towards tummy). All women are different and may require more foreplay, and/or other combinations of things that get you excited and on edge.
What toys are your go to for squirting and why? What is it about them that initiates squirting do you think?
Any toy with a curve that hits or vibration on g-spot as that actvates the skene’s gland (like the female prostate) & a wand on my clit becase the clit is loaded with nerve endings and good strong vibration definitely brings orgasams.
Is there something your partner does that makes you squirt?
Foreplay, slow build up, fingering me curving fingers in a come here motion to hit g-spot, licking my clit, use of toys, getting me to edge and keep me there to really build it up, doesn’t stop or slow down once orgasm hits and the extra feeling really gets me going. Some people find that the recipe is: pressure on gspot → stimulation on clit → pull out as you cum.
What can I do to protect the bed/sofa from getting wet?
There are a number of items that you can use, the most common is towels. Depending on the amount of liquid, you may need a few! You can also use ‘puppy pads’, waterproof sheets, mattress protectors, waterproof throws or a combination of them.

How has squirting impacted your sex life?
Explanation of Squirting Mechanism:
Stimulation of the G-Spot can produce arousal that leads to squirting. Squirting is the rapid flow of the female ejaculate out of the urethra. This is not urination, but it may give the woman the sensation that she is going to urinate before it happens. The fluid is stored in the urethral sponge. It is in a region that surrounds that surrounds the bladder. The female ejaculate fluid comes from the urethral sponge. There are paraurethral glands and ducts that run between the urethral sponge and the urethra. When arousal occurs, the glands within the urethral sponge fill with fluid, causing the sponge to swell. Sometimes that fluid is released through the paraurethral ducts into the urethra. This is squirting.
The G-Spot needs firm pressure. In order to find the G-Spot, initial arousal is necessary. This swells the G-Spot, and the G-Spot can be located about 1 to 2 inches by inserting 2 fingers and using a “come here” motion. Once the spot is located, deliberate, direct pressure is used, building the intensity. Many women find that pressing just above the pubic bone while stimulating the G-Spot internally is needed. Since pressure is being put on the sponge, it produces a feeling that she is about the urinate.
