Ah, yes. There are a few extra limits if you’re in First Day mode, but fortunately they only last 24 hours. 
After that you pretty much get full functionality, apart from being able to upload photos (that’s limited to Members, but it only takes a couple of weeks to achieve, so nothing arduous).
The forum has recently had an upgrade so pretty much no one knows how to use it yet. If you want to have a practice of anything you can have a play here in the Sandbox, but the only thing you really need to know is how to read and type.
