ah can see how that wouldnt have added to the experience, so have you ever thought about doing anything about being watched, I would love to experience with my partner but think she is little too shy although she did once mention going to see a show in Amersterdam, and I have chatted on the phone during with previous partner

Honestly, it is something that has never been discussed. Personally at this stage I'd rather keep it a fantasy, but at some point it would be great to tick that off the bucket list. My fantasy would be that the person watching would be masturbating whilst watching also.
If she has mentioned seeing a show, maybe bring that back up? You could talk about where you'd love to go on a holiday, and then it'd be just a holiday but seeing a show could be one thing that happens on the holiday but still do the normal sightseeing etc. That way if she's shy it's not a big massive deal because it's not what the whole trip's about.
If you can just manage to get her to take a baby step, she'll know a little better what she wants and if she would consider taking it any further or not :)
My gf has just brought up the idea of being watched, so to start with we are thinking of doing it on web cam.

Hi, we have been on a swinging site for around 2 yrs now. Started our little adventure playing on cam as a couple and while he was working he loved me going on solo. It's a great place to start for those not sure of how far they want to push things.
