Good for you @Stacy2 never too late to learn anything
!
Congratulations @Stacy2 ![]()
Well done @Stacy2. I tried but i failed, actually got a D for dangerous on my test.
Oh my goodness Stacy that’s a great achievement, congratulations !
My good lady was 41 I think when she passed, (also second time) having never had the confidence to even have any lessons before we met and I encouraged her that she could actually do it.
She doesn’t really drive to be honest, but at she has reached that milestone in life like yourself. I bet you feel a million dollars ![]()
Thanks everyone ![]()
I’m early 30s and confidence was always my biggest problem aswell. Strange what meeting the right person does for you @Simon_101
I had some lessons and then drove his car around on private land for more practice. If I failed a 2nd time, I was going to give up so I’m over the moon I passed.
We live out in the sticks and public transport is pretty much non existent. Oh has changed jobs last year and he’s away more now. I’ll probably only drive when he’s away, but gives me that freedom ![]()
Well done, now you have passed, you will learn how to drive
Exactly what my husband’s driving instructor told him after he passed.
Haha I’ve got to be better than some of the drivers I see daily [1] ![]()
Being passenger princess for the last 12 years I’ve seen it all ↩︎
Great news @Stacy2 on passing your driving test…
Congratulations
Well done you…so glad you didn’t give up.

Your husband must have had the same instructor is me then @KinkyMira . Its the first thing the instructor told me after I had passed. ![]()
Same sort of thing I was told and it’s so true! Driving lessons teach you to pass the test, you learn to drive afterwards!
you’ll be grand @Stacy2 ![]()
Mrs W here …..
Thats great news @Stacy2 well done love xx
I got a new job ![]()
Got made redundant back in November. New job is less pay and in a different industry and not what I really want to do, but it’s a job. ![]()
I was starting to think I’d have to buy some more interesting underwear and start an OnlyFans ![]()
Congratulations @ObnoxiousPython ![]()
It may not be what you want, but it’s a step forward ![]()
@ObnoxiousPython you will get to where you want to be, even if it’s just baby steps
If it pays the bills and keeps a roof over your head I think any job is better than none.
Good luck @ObnoxiousPython and I’m sure you’ll get the job you really want in the end ![]()
@Stacy2 many congrats ![]()
It’s often easier to get a job when you’re working than when you out of work
- I made my very first apple crumble and it came out perfectly
one to add to the regular recipes - I have decided to try doing more creative things this year. Chose to write my own romance novel (just to try it), painting, and writing reviews on LH to see it I can become a tester (thinking this could be helpful as research for my novel
)
Just over 10 years ago I was in the same position, the whole workforce made redundant at Christmas. I got a job in the January that wasn’t for me for various reasons, then at the start of February I too got a job in a completely different field. I’m still there and despite some challenging times due to Covid and something else this year, I think it was for the best.
