My review of the Bodywand Rechargeable is up

Bodywand Rechargeable Magic Wand Vibrator&reviewid=35885#customer_reviews

If anyone has any questions after reading it, let me know. I hated to give it such a poor review.

I uploaded a couple of photos to show the charger cap issue, but I don't think they're showing on my profile yet.

I am wondering about the strenght. How strong it is, lets say compare to Lelo Mia? so I have some idea.

The BWR (Bodywand Rechargeable) on it's lowest setting is probably a bit stronger than Mia on high. (Crap! I've misplaced Mia! It isn't in it's normal spot, which means it's probably buried in the bedding! ) The difference is that you can't focus the BWR directly on the clit.

I watched the video review for the BWM (Bodywand Mains) and it looks like it has a larger variation from low to high than the BWR does. BWM's low is lower and it's high higher.

Okay, just found Mia to compare. (Whew! Was worried about my darling being missing!)

Mia on high is a little stronger than BWR on low, but Mia is much much quieter. BWR can scroll up to be a lot stronger, and as it goes up, it gets a high pitched whine. However, even though it's stronger, I could never get the vibrations focused on my clit because of its size. As I said in the review, I could simply never get an orgasm out of BWR.

I kind of hope Alice will send out another review version of it to someone else, to see if maybe I just don't get along with wands. The quality issues would be there regardless, but I can't help worrying about the low review I gave, and hoping my subjective opinion didn't skew things too much.

I can cope with strong vibrations, as when I struggle with orgasm, I like them but not focused on my clit. But more like indirect vibrations. So wand may not be bad idea then. Not sure I feel like battery powered wands, definitely dont want mains powered, as my socket is just no that close... Only for my night table lamp is and that one is being used...

So it would be more like the quality built for me I guess. I would really prefer smaller sized wand! Most of them are just too big for me.

well, the purple is sold out, so maybe someone else will give one, or lets see how many people would return it to LH after buying it

Shame it didn't work for you silverdrop. I'm not convinced on the wand situation at all and your review has sold me on that at least!

Wand is just not for me I feel!

Angel x

Well I've given it a quick test drive and OMG!!!!! The vibrations are obviously soooo strong and they sort of rumble through you, hard to explain, the head is obviously quite big so it just vibrates across the whole area not clit specific, but I loved this... It made me cum in super fast time, a really deep orgasm, and then again, and then again..... all in less than 10 mins ;)

Think it shall become my new best friend, haha!

Ive never heard anything bad about the Hitachi Wand

I have a Hitachi wand http://nymphomaniacness.blogspot.com/2011/08/hitachi-magic-wand-vibrator.html

I think if you have the chance to get something more modern and slightly lighter and smaller but is still mains powered and strong, it would now be better than the hitachi. Mine just a little too big etc for me to comfortably use all the time.

I think the main downsides of the Hitachi are that it only has two speeds, no UK plug and that it's not CE marked and so can't legally be sold in the EU.

The don't think the Hitachi hasn't been redesigned since the 70s. So on the one hand, it's obviously a workhorse to still be around and working so well for so many people, but on the other hand, a modern design like the Bodywand is going to have the benefit of being made smaller and more lightweight. And having a UK plug and the scrollwheel for strength is also a huge plus.

Ive had the bodywand on my list for a longtime and ive no doubt thats the one Im saving for. Ive checked out all the reviews and spent ages checking the other wands too.

The reviews and stars say it all; plus thanks Alice its good to hear about the continuous scroll; clicky toys can get annoying after a while..

Its worth the money as an investment toy, but to having something on mains that makes me want it more lol.

still waiting expectantly for Mr Postman

I have this one: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20087

It is ok, but very loud. Wish I had got the rechargeable one.

You have now! I hate it, can't even bear to use it for muscle pain which is its intended purpose, never mind have it anywhere near the genital area.

Maybe if it had a multi-speed plug it might be better but I definitely can't use it as it is. Complete waste of money for me I'm afraid.

They stopped selling them in the UK and Europe, anyones that are here are either illegally here or copies. As they are US based, so is the voltage which is different to the UK and unsafe to use in the UK, even with an adapter.

They are also very overpriced for what they are.

I was looking at that one, but plumped for http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=21234 after thinking long and hard about spending such a lot of money on a toy for me (money is an issue), Problem is - i have very expensive tastes when it comes to toys, some of the new luxury toys look amazing (i say groaning under my breath) and I know that i'll have a lot of fun with them, but I've bought this just now, and prehaps santa will treat me, and if i'm really lucky, LH might send me one that hasn't been reviewed yet.
