20 year old virgin .......

I am a 20 year old virgin, I would like to have sex, I have never wanted to do it with just anyone just because i can,ive got to the stage now where i dont want to be the girl who hasnt slept with anyone,i want to start experiencing things now,im just scared of being crap and not knowing what to do and feeling really nervous,I feel happy with my figure and i have been thinking about having sex for a long time now.

Do I wait longer for a boyfriend to do it for first time [given that i have never had a boyfriend so not that easy!]

or just do it when iI have the first chance?

thoughts?

Sex is important for a person and a relationship. I understand that you would like to have sex but there are lots of virgins who are the same age and much older than you. It isn't that unusual now. I have seen a couple of threads in the past week about this topic.

Whilst sex doesn't have to be making love it should be enjoyable and rememberable for the right reasons especially the first time. I would suggest experiementing with toys and then having sex when the time and person is right, not before. Don't worry and just have fun.

Also I didn't have a boyfriend until I was almost 18.

Oh and welcome to the forums smiley

Good sex is awesome

Bad sex is boring.

A drunken fumble with a stranger is liable to be the second

im sure ill know when the time is right, its not something i want to rush and then regret

Thankyou :)

i doubt i will experience good sex for long time

i wouldnt ever sleep with someone i didnt know,i couldnt do that,it wouldnt feel right.

I used sex toys before I had sex, found out what I liked and what I didn't. It didn't hurt me the first time and the sex was actually good. I really enjoyed it and would never change a thing. Good sex does come with experience but it's more about who it is with. The more you get to know a person likes/dislikes and explore together the better the sex generally is.

I'm not suggesting you would have sex with a stranger but make sure it's the person you want to share the experience with and that you can look back and have no regrets.

Yeah i agree with you and that reply about having sex with a stanger was to the other person, sorry :) Im just scared about using a toy but i guess your comfortable with yourself, Would you still be a Virgin though?

Being a virgin doesn't mean having your hymen in tact, it can often break before, during sports like bike riding, horse riding etc. Also, it can break when you use a tampon. Loosing your virginity is about having sex with someone, I also believe that it doesn't have to be a male and a female. There is a grey area with defining when someone has lost their virginity, especially when it isn't with a female/male pairing. However it all comes down to how you feel, when you feel that you are no longer a virgin then that is what matters.

When I first used an instertable toy then it did hurt a bit, nothing too much and I also bleed a bit. Also not much. I am really glad that I did it that way as I was able to really enjoy my first time, I am not saying that people won't otherwise but many people say that there is some pain and blood.

You don't have to use an insertable toy if you don't want, clitoral vibes are also good. There is no need to be scared and it is actually bad to be. As in you clench up and it will probably be more painful. I would suggest using a clitoral vibe or massage type then experiement with a slim short insertable toy if you want. Using lubricant also helps, as does being extremely aroused, watching a sex scene/porn or reading an erotic story can help.

Sounds like a really good thing to do,so i will be buying myself a toy, youve been a massive help :)

hope this will help my confidence a little too

Thankyou

I am glad I could help, remember go for slim and short if you are wanting insertable toys.

Good luck and I hope all goes well!

Ok thanks for all your help :)

I say wait until it feels right. I don't understand why there are so many threads recently about young women worrying about being virgins at around age 20. Being a virgin a few years older than that (29), it makes me feel extra crap and stressed that I may never get to have sex at all. At 20 though I didn't think about it that much.

Please don't feel crap and stressed Cat Lady, my wife was in her thirties when she first had sex, as you say wait until it feels right.

It's not so much right or wrong time in my case as lack of opportunity, which is a different topic I probably shouldn't go into or else I will end up hijacking the thread...

I think it's one of those things we would always see a lot of, but not much people find the forums... only now as they become more and more popular, we're going to see an influx of the good, the bad, the ugly and the trolls, including threads like this, like that phase with pussy pumps... and squirting before it, it just seems to be how the forum works lol.

As to the original poster, don't stress about it, it's not exactly something to be ashamed of, just wait for it to come to you.

thankyou and i hope you feel alot better by reading some of the replys.
