Classic Wand vs smaller clitoral toys

Hi All, I bought myself the Lovehoney Classic Wand recently (my birthday code 40% off came at the right time). Over the last 1.5 years I have bought quite a few toys but the Wand is the first one of its type.

I did like the vibrations and it being mainspowered but it took a while for me to reach the point compared to my bullet or clitoral pebble vibrator. It might be because of it being more broad rather than a smaller surface vibration?

Does anyone have any tips on how to best use the Wand vibrator?

Does anyone else prefer their other precise toys over the Wand?

I generally prefer more precise toys over ones with larger surface areas. With wands I can normally still orgasm reasonably easily providing they have a good amount of power (which most mains powered ones do) but standard sized wands aren’t normally my go to toys.

I would firstly suggest that you give it a little time to get used to the stimulation being over a larger area; I definitely grew to enjoy my Lovehoney Classic Wand rather than it being an instant hit for me.

I’d also say consider using it in a different way to how you might usually use a toy. For example, trying moving around a little or grinding against it (or if you do these things normally, hold it still), or use it on low while focusing on something else like watching porn/reading erotica/fantasising/stimulating another area/if you have a partner, having them in control of it.

You could also look at getting an attachment. Although Lovehoney don’t have a huge choice at the moment, there is a clitoral one or one of the G Spot/P Spot could work as they will target the vibration to a smaller point.

Thanks @Calie  you are right I need to give it a few more chances to figure out how I like it and will be changing it up as you suggested. Hopefully it’ll work better next time

I have seen a few attachments online but for now I’ll try to use it on its on and see

You can use them with other toys too. It youve got a dildo (especially the glass or metal kind) you can press them on the base while youve got one inserted and the vibes will travel through it.

@Adventurer_1992 Hi there, for me, it is like comparing forks and spoons; they are for different purposes. In general, like you, I prefer targeted rather than broad, but wands do have their place (eg applied to the base of an inserted butt plug, or applied to excited nipples to make them flatter). A broad vibration is also useful if I haven’t got the muscle strength to hold something pinpoint in place, and attachments for the wand can be useful too.
The biggest thing for wands I find is mains power. Often, I find battery toys just not quite up to it. Put the whole of the national grid behind it and I’m happy.
I do know someone for whom pinpoint toys are too much, so wands are everything for her. As often with these things, depends on your body and technique. It’s fun finding out though!

Personally I think they are different toys. I love small buzzy toys for clit stimulation and they work very quickly. Great if in on my own and just want quick release. My wand… although a great toy is only used for couples use. It covers a wide surface and we tend to use it to build up arousal and not for too long as I cant feel much else if its used for long periods of time :grimacing:
I like it as well if I’m using a butt plug. It really heightens the feeling.
Toys though are individual to personal preference. I would say experiment a bit with it. You may find you don’t get on with it and that’s fine. Not everything works for everyone.
Have fun!!!
