One of my friends at work has confided in me about her partner, she knows I am on these forums. She says it goes soft when she is playing with it which makes it impossible to have intercourse.
Maybe she's hurting it and being a little vigerous. Has she actually asked him about it?
It feels like the default answer do often is to talk about it, but in this case I think it's definitely true! This used to happen to me and it would take a little while before I could rise to the occasion again. What it boiled down to was nerves and a lack of confidence. As soon as I started to feel myself go a little softer it was all downhill as all the negative thoughts flooded my head; how I was disappointing my OH, would she think I'm not attracted to her anymore etc.
Once we talked and she understood it wasn't to do with her and equally importantly, I knew she understood it too, it took the pressure off and things got back to normal.

Stuburns has a point, she may be being a little too rough! It's possible.
Perhaps as well as some of the above more work needs to be done in the foreplay area. This is often over looked but IMO but it conditions each others body for intercourse.
