first time user

hi there I'm new to this and wondered if people had recommendations for vibrators/dildos for a first time user? Find the options a bit overwhelming tbh.. sorry if someone else asked this question before. thanks for your ideas. A x

Hi Alicia! I think it would all depend on what your preference is in regards to clitoral or vaginal stimulation. I personally would recommend a bullet vibrator such as the Tracey coxs supersex bullet or perhaps the rocks off be my knight 7 function vibe. They are easy to use, small and discreet and not overwhelming to get to grips with.

Hello and welcome 🙂

There is certainly a lot to choose from, which is great, but can also be a little daunting. There's a few Lovehoney guides that you might find useful/interesting?

As Laurakin said, bullets can be a nice starter if you like clitoral stimulation. When we started using toys we went for a few of the cheaper, plastic ones in different shapes and sizes to see which Mrs Chimp liked, and then invested in some of the more expensive silicone, rechargeable ones when we'd explored a bit. 👍

Hi and welcome to the forums. I would certainly look at the kits LH sell to give you a bit of variety of things to see what you want to explore more of.

They can't tell you exactly which toy you'll love as every body is different so everyone can't like everything equally, but hopefully they'll give you an idea of what's available and what each is for. 🙂

Another useful tip is to take advantage of Lovehoney's special offers so you can try much more for your money. 🙂👍 I wrote a mini-intro to some of the deals, etc in this thread if you're interested:

Hi there,

Welcome to the forums.

If you are just starting out I would suggest thinking about whether you want external stimulation (eg a bullet clitoral vibrator) or internal ( eg a g-spot or classic vibrator). You could go for both eg a Rabbit, but they can be tricky to get right as everyone's anatomy is different.

If you have the budget then the Mantric range of toys is good. The vibes are strong but not too powerful and they often come up on offer.

If you want to start off with battery toys - which tend to be cheaper - so that you can try things out and see what you lilke, then these are good, and not overwhelming in terms of size:

An externally used bullet can work very well with a glass dildo - you have the freedom to move the dildo as you like internally, and glass can be used warm, cool, and with any kind of lube. I'd recommend this one: good as a general massager too, also often on offer:

Good luck!

Thank you so much these are great ideas I think I'll try the bullet vibrator first x
