So I am a teeny bit addicted to buying underwear (at least it's not drugs or booze I suppose!! LOL!) but I am mainly into lace and similar. You know quite girlie but still sexy.
I have a new guy in my life after 5 years with the previous one so I am doing alot of learning (of what he likes - he LOVES underwear (obviously on girls, not on him lol)) and re-learning (of what I like) He's told me he's into PVC and leather etc. I want to try it for him, but obviously I've never worn it before so I'm worried about being self concious and it looking awful on me :')
Any ideas on how I can work this in? I found a leather thong that wasn't too terrifying LOL. Is it going to be a case of getting some and just surprising him and see how it goes?

Go for it. I bought my oh some latex knickers from here. They did the trick for me and they certainly got her at roused just by wearing them.
How about something like the Coquette Darque Wet Look and Floral Lace Chemise? It's a nice middle ground between traditional lingerie and raunchy PVC wear.

@Kitty - I know right!! I have to spread my wages otherwise I'd be screwed for the second half of the month ;) Haha LH is seriously addicting!! I used to be into suspenders and garter belts but I find its a bit too "fiddly" a great effect, but I much prefer hold ups now :) I think they're just as sexy, if not more so :)
@Kink - I think getting used to it is probably the best way to go, I am quite shy a lot of the time (even though it often doesn't seem like I am) and I have a terrible self esteem / self image problem so maybe baby steps is the way forward!
We haven't been together long, but I am kind of head over heels and just want to, not exactly "show" him that I feel that way about him, cos I tell him and do it in other ways. I guess it's more of a "I want to be everything you've ever wanted" if that makes sense? Besides it's fun right ;) LOL

leather and latex underwear is great. I prefer it to lace for dressing up (although maybe not everyday going hopping).
find something you feel comortable in, try classic styles, bras are always a good place to start imo.
leather and latex really clings to your body in the sexiest way.
