Lelo Luna beads

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any advice regarding lelo Luna beads, I am going to purchase some next week, I've read many reviews and check out the beads on the lelo website but I cannot find anything which says if it's OK to sterilise them in sterilising fluid, I know they can be put in a bowl and have hot water poured over them but I've read the strings cam become discoloured, has anyone found a way clean them a bit more efficiently and to make them sterile? I suffer chronic uti's and interstitial cystitis and even the tiniest bit of bacteria can trigger it so I have to be scrupulous cleaning my sex toys. (Not that this is for sex, its to try and fix my very broken pelvic floor lol) thanks

H!

To be honest I really would not suggest sterilising fluid- that might even create irritation for you and damage them over time. A good toy cleaner and hot water would be best especially as it is anti-bacterial. With the cord, it does not even insert the body, so discolouration would be quite rare.

However with a worry like this I think you are going to be a lot safer considering a silicone type of kegal set, I personally love these ones and they are very similar to the Lelo, have plenty of alterability as well weight wise- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30892

Otherwise if you are after that luxury feel I would suggest the Ami - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20747

These will both give you similar results and then you would not have to worry about any form of bacteria- so will keep your mind at ease!

Hi NaughtyM.

I have the same issues with my bladder as you. I have to be careful with sex, too - make sure I'm clean and fresh before (kills sponteneity, but hey-ho), then have to have at least a wipe down after (I use Andrex washlets or the supermarket version as they don't irritate.

For lube, I now use this: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=7163 as it's bacteria-static.

I also have both the items Paige has rec'd and have had no problems at all with them.

After use I give them a really good wash in hot water and Lovehoney's own toy cleaner, then leave them air dry. Once a week I'll give them a squirt of this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=27189 and leave it to dry. After a while, I give them another good wash with the Lovehoney cleaner to make sure there's no residue that might irritate.

If you need to help your pelvic floor, have you considered this instead: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=29580 It currently comes with the Kegel balls that Paige and I have mentioned, so is quite a bargain (and how I got mine).

I've had great success with it - not so much strengthening as my pelvic floor was in fairly good nick anyway, but as future insurance against a nerve problem. I've found it fantastic. I was in pain every time I was having a pee, infection or not, but this seems to have "smoothed" everything inside. Going to th eloo no longer feels as rough/sharp/stingy as it used to. I absolutely love mine!

Good luck.
