LH internet access barred as pornographic!

At work yesterday the WiFi suddenly barred access to Lovehoney because
it is deemed pornographic. Today I tried accessing using mobile data
and the same happened. No idea what has changed for this to suddenly
happen. Very strange! Just as well I was using my phone on the public
WiFi and not my hospital log in 🀣

O2 does this too, You can get access on mobile data but you need to
prove to O2 you are 18+ Even if you’re on a contract.

Giffgaff does it too

I avoid doing ANYTHING personal on work servers, espeically this
site. They can track all web usage and content.

Working in IT i can say that not only can we see what sites are being
used but how long you spend on them, what is searched, anything yoy type
in as a message. So yeah work servers not the best lol. Strange that 02
block it as the wife is on their service and she has no problems looking
at the site.

Oddly I could access it fine on Saturday - including makea purchase - so didn't think anything if it. Hopefully it won't betraced back to me 🀞 Don't fancy having to explain it to my boss or havethe gossips on my case 😫

I have to admit it didn't even cross my radar that it could be an issue.
It was when I clicked on an email link and WiFi refused access and I
thought "oooops"! Well, I thought a lot more than that which
isn't repeatable πŸ˜‰

It’s classed as an adult site due to the content and imagery, the filter
probably puts it under pornographic due to the nature of the products
and video content does exist on the site. But mobile providers should be
fine if you just login to your account and set the filter to β€œoff”. I
know a lot of companies require this or if you call up and just say you
want the internet filter switched off for adult content they won’t think
anything of it.

πŸ˜€ to put your mind at ease and i shohld of mentuoned this in the first
place. That sort of information is only looked into if the their is an
investigation. I don't think their would be enough hours in a year to
look at everyones data lol. I am sure you will be fine

I found this out when I was staying at a relatives house for a while
last year. I couldn't access this site at all using their wifi
connection and I assumed it was because of the way they had their settings.

As long as the IT department at work don't investigate. That would take
some explaining.... πŸ€” "Gosh, I was using the public WiFi? I
thought I was using my own data as the public WiFi is only for
patients" πŸ˜‰πŸ€ž

Depends on who owns the public wifi.. i know at our local hospital its
run by the council and you have to register by facebook or email
address. I doubt anything is investigated on those servers unless there
was any illegal activity and it was traced back to those servers and
blah blah blah. You will be fine, sorry if i worried you. Just thought i
would share my experience working in ITin response to Venessa's post πŸ˜€
