Long story short, my boyfriend and I are looking to spice up things a little bit with a few toys for the bedroom, in particular for a naughty weekend away coming up where we won't have seen each other for 4 weeks.

He is very good and has said no pressure and if I don't want to I don't have to and we can stop or not do it again if I don't like it but I just want to get a little more confident. Try playing anally on your own to start with just using your fingers and plenty of lube. That way you'll get used to the sensation of having something being inserted into you. The next step would be a smallish plug .....
These 2 are good and not too big or intimidating. Once you've got used to the feeling of fingers and small anal toys you can progress to slightly larger ones with your partner. It may be a little while before you can have actual anal sex...particularly if your partner is a bit on the large side but you'll get there. But always remember .....plenty of lube.
