Well first of all you may find at the very start, getting it into a good position and getting initial suction could be a bit fiddly. I would say, aim to have the top of the cup sat on the mound, just above her clit, maybe an inch or less above the top of her clit. If you go any higher up, any movements from the hips tend to cause the mound to move too much and the suction breaks.
