Could always pretend to meet in a bar as strangers then go up to hotel room.
I agree with pretending to be strangers! I'd love to do that!
If you was to do the strangers thing then one of you needs to check in so the hotel staff don't see you together as a couple.
Me and my partner went here for our anniversary, I do not know what part of the midlands you are but its in Leicester city center. There are lots of nice resurants around too! If you do go i would highly recommend San Carlos if you are thinking of going for a meal!

We like to book an apartment or cottage for our weekends away. There are quite a few advertised on the B&B websites. You can find some that are very high end with Jacuzzis etc at the same price as a regular hotel. This can lead to some great role play about meeting in a bar and going back to the luxury apartment.

Try Oundle Mill in Northamptonshire. Stunning Hotel, very nice rooms, king sized beds, great restaurant and on the river. Pretty village with lots of nice walks, pubs, restaurants, bijou shops etc.
i go there for special weekends with my wife and you relax from the moment you arrive.
