In Nottingham there are quite a few strip clubs dotted about if you know where to look (sadly I don't) and I think there is only one Ann Summers in the town centre. There are a couple of those 'Private Shops' though, but some residents are trying to get one of them shut down atm.
My favourite is The Adult Gift Shop (which also has a website). The staff are really friendly, the toys are great (but more expensive that LoveHoney and they don't make you feel like a perv if you're looking at anal toys. I even had a bloke that worked their come up to me and start a 15 minute conversation about which anal lubes we both preferred! They also have a massive TV playing hardcore porn all day, and sell hundreds of DVDs! I can feel a visit coming on.....
Cardiff - several sex shops including Ann Summers slap bang on the high street.....quite a few lapdancing clubs.....thriving gay scene...several of those dodgy massage places.....oh and currently huge debates going on as there has been an application to open a Hooters bar in the town centre...........theres an online petition to have it.........and theres been demonstrations against it...................
As far as I am aware, the only Hooters left in the country is right here in Nottingham. And it's not sleezy or anything. The chicken is amazing and is a great place just to hang out. My GF loves it too and you regularly see families in there. But you do get a good view with your pint!! *drools*

See, I found that uncomfortable in one I went in, the direct chatter. They were friendly enough but I found it a bit odd giving such personal information to someone who I didn't know. I guess it didn't help I was outnumbered by staff!

Bristol is quite open-minded. Like Cardiff, quite a large gay scene but it is kind of separated from everything else. We have about 3 Ann Summers, and many alt stalls at St Nicks Market, and a shop call twilight fashions which I think dabbles in sex toys. I haven't been there yet but really want to go.
