Hmm good question, I’ve found some vibrators are quiet when first get it but after a few plays and charges it gets a bit more louder than it used to be 
We bought this one because quietness is crucial - and it ticked every box!

After reading mixed reviews on Quietness, we are still undecided on a very quiet vibrator. Thank you though. Still searching.
