Suggestions on warming up your toys

Hi

I bought an extender sleeve and hope to surprise my wife with it when she gets back from holiday :)

I just got delivery of it yesterday and I know she is going to enjoy it as it's about the same size as her favourite dildo. The only thing I noticed is that it is quite cold and I know she complained of this sometimes with her dildo.

So does anyone have any suggestions on how to warm it up? I know some people use warm water, but the thought of having some water in the room is just a disaster waiting to happen. And our bathroom is downstairs and there are other people in the house so that's a no go. I am considering a hot water bottle and the cosy that can you get for it.

I have considered the "warming" lubes but she is quite sensitive down there and very conscious of putting other things in herself.

The extender sleeve I got is this one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=2479

Any suggestions greatly welcomed. Thanks in advance.

how about one of those microwavable snuggle thingies? don't know what to call them.... like a beanbag but full of grain....

I know the ones you mean. Hmm that's an idea. I wonder if I can find any and how much they compare to a water bottle in price. Thanks. Keep the suggestions coming.

Keep it in contact with your skin and it should steal enough of your body heat to warm up.

We've got a homemade heat pad for aches and pains.

Take one old sock (a nice clean one), fill with rice, microwave (be darn careful it can get VERY hot). That'd warm it up no problem.

How about a hot water bottle with a cover over it. Slip the toy inside the cover for a while before use. I have not tried it but we have the same issue so I'm going to give it a try.

Better than some naff navy blue hot water bottle (like what I have!) and though I don't have that particular heart warmer, I have one similar and they do get quite warm. If you used it with a towel or item of clothing to wrap it up with the extender, that might do the trick?

I wouldn't recommend putting it on anything too hot just incase it melts!

The best idea I feel is the microwaveable bean bags and wrap it in a towel. You only want to warm the extender up to body temp so it wouldn't take too long

I think that keeping it on the skin can do it, you can try it before actually fun with your wife to see if it works, or not

At the moment we just tuck the toy between us to get it warm and have it handy but to start with it's a bit like having a fish in the bed. We have often joked about having a hostess cabinet on the bedside table for the job but think it might put us off buying baguettes in future 8-)=

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. It seems that hot water bottles or microwaveable bags is the general concensus. But the thought of having to boil the kettle or warm something in the microwave then bring upstairs just botters me. Especially as there are others in the house (guilty conscience needs no accuser and all that :) )

I was considering trying those air activated hand warmers that you can get in the pound shops. My wife uses them for her tummy when she is on her monthly but I think it could get costly and plus they last for 6 - 8 hours which will just be a waste.

So instead I've settled on an electric heat pad like this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Homefront-Washable-Therapy-Warming-Heatpad/dp/B005A54PLA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1320268077&sr=8-2 which I've managed to buy for £9.98 on ebay (A Grade).

Will post back on how it works out :)

Nice idea.

You can also get re-usable hand warmers that you boil to re-activate, so not expensive in the long run.

Good luck.

I really think just using a hot water bottle would be grand, just keep the things you will be using next to it and it should keep them warm.

You could always try one of these:
