The OH and I are thinking of trying something a little different and getting a little something to open me up during foreplay. I've seen a few different speculum's on LH (plastic, metal etc) but having never used anything like that before we're a little hesitant. I invision it feeling incredible but don't know the best place to start.

Try the cheap plastic one first, have him sit between your legs and use a mirror? If you both like the kink factor go from there I can really recommend the Collins one it opens very wide and gives great access. If you wish play on your own at first?
Yes I have the cheap plastic one and it is fine, you can use it either way up and definately with a mirror it is very sexy seeing inside of yourself, I used it on my own first, to make sure it was comfortable before I let OH loose with it.
