“Time machine” is an interesting concept. I have a lot of great newer music but this thread has led me to concentrate much more on the music released in my first 21 years of life. It all faltered after that, the forward momentum and excitement was lost.
That’s the beauty of having my entire collection on my phone, the shuffle function throws up stuff i wouldn’t have chosen at that moment, triggering memories of times, places, people etc. Smells often do the same, but music does it better
