Which vibrator for a beginner?

My first vibrator was in the BASIC range and was the £2.99 one (how much i spend on pleasure :P)

I love it but i want to try something new. I live in a thin walled house with three guys and one girl so it's embarrassing using the one i have now as i'm scared everyone can hear it.

I'm also a virgin, so i want to be tight for when i lose my virginity, but at the same time it's my body and i should do what makes me happy, so these are my two options (so far):

or

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15335

obviously i prefer the first one as it's half the price (poor uni student) but i've also wanted to try the rabbit to see what that's like. The first one is a quiet one too, so there's that..

As i live with roommates i also want the one that's most likely to come in a box rather than an envelope to avoid all the embarrassment.

Or do you have any other reccommendations, like what was your beginner toy?

Thanks :)

Hi

I have the first one and it's quiet which is a big bonus.

Rabbits can be quite noisy and you need to find one that suits you, so I wouldn't recommend a rabbit for first choice.

You may also want to try a bullet which are a really good warm up and also some lube.

My first ever toy was this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=10157 it was the first ever time I also had an orgasm :D

I've got a best mates birthday comin up and I've been talking about toys with her but shes a little embarassed to get herself one so I've bought her this for her first toy http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22122

As you can tell I really reccommend a bullet vibrator, they're small and silent ( a little buzzy but not something to worry about people hearing)

Personally I wouldn't reccomend the rabbit for a first vibrator, I have a rabbit but I just don't like the internal factor of it, I find it a little overwhelming and I have quite a collection of toys now :D

I'm actually planning on sending it off to for the recycling shceme lovehoney have. The bullet I've got for my friend came with an offer and I also got her an orgasm balm for £3.00 (part of the offer) for a total of £9.74 so you can get two things for under a tenner!!

Hope this helps :D have fun with your new toy xx

Hi Sarah02J - the Silencer is quite a girthy vibrator, so I wouldn't recommend that as a first vibe.

Do you want to go for an insertable vibe? If so, the slimline Jessica you posted is a good option, as is the Joy 10 Function Silicone Rabbit Vibrator and the Lovehoney Slimline G Spot VIbrator. Nothing in Tracey Cox's range is too big, the G-spot vibe is a great one.

If you want to stay with clitoral or bullet vibes, there are other suggestions I could make :-)

I'd also recommend signing up for the Deal of the Day email, so you can experiment with things without feeling like you're spending too much!

Thank you everyone :) I will have a look at all of those, and think again on my choices if the Silencer is girthy and the rabbit isn't advised for a first timer.

The one i have now is quite small so i wanted something a little bigger, but i'll look at the bullets too, they do look pretty and fun :)

Hi :)

I would agree that the silencer is probably a bit too girthy for you, and that the rabbit is quite noisy.

Was going to suggest the same products as Alice. There are also these products as well that may be of interest if you're looking for internal vibrations:

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=23015 - 4 inch girth

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15349 - 3.15 inch girth

I have the silencer, Sarah, and it is quite big and rigid; I certainly wouldn't recommend it for a first timer. I am still undecided on it anyway and am giving it another few tries before I review it.

my very first vibrator was a Ladyfinger which i'm assuming you already have, my second was http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16057 which in retrospect was a mistake as it's quite girthy
if i could go back in time i would go for http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14152 it's not too dissimilar to the scilencer not much girthier than a ladyfinger cheaper and it's supposed to be quiet too

Thank you, i definitely won't get the silencer then.

And thanks for the recommendations :) I've also seen this one:

or

I do really like the look of the last two, but yeah, the one i have is a Ladyfinger so i wanted to try something a little different.

I've brought one. Lovehoney 10 Function G-Whizz Silicone G-Spot Vibrator Pink

I hope it will be okay :)

Glad you decided and hope you have lots of fun with it! :)

Of course, if you don't get on with it then you can always return it within 365 days with no questions asked. x

I recently purchased the Lovehoney Rechargeable USB Vibrator :) It's amazing and it's rechargeable. Also very quiet underneath the covers! Good luck :) xx
