3 years. Are you sure she hasn’t lost the key? I’ll be honest. If I lost my OH’s key I’d just continue the game for as long as possible before he found out, then run.
Actually that’s a serous point and something I always advise new cagees to be wary of. Always have an emergency way out in case something gets trapped or twisted inside the cage.
One of us always has a key with us at all times.
