30G and nothing to wear :(

Big boobs are supposed to be a blessing not a curse, right?!

I am struggling so much to find anything to fit and flatter my shape :( I'm 5'6" and a size 8-10.

Is there anything on LH, or elsewhere even, you could recommend?

Thanks

I'm that size too, though way shorter than you. At least you aren't having to combine busty with petite range, which does not exist ready-made! What sort of clothes are you looking for? I've found some good things at Bravissimo, although it takes a bit of hunting, and then found older stock cheaper on eBay. Wrap tunics are mostly what I've gone for, some nice dresses. Also the v-necked cotton tunics from Nomads clothing are good, again they show up cheaper on eBay on in the sale, and I'm finally getting to show off my cleavage again. Would links help? I'm an apple shape rather than a pear, currently on the high end of the healthy weight range of the BMI.

I know this is shameless but with that description nothing to wear sounds about what I'd recommend.

The OP has probably spotted that option already! Leching is all very nice, but you should try a few decades of desperately trying to find clothes that fit, let alone look good. Bring stuck in clothing that makes you look like you've been stuffed into a bag does not make anyone feel sexy.

Here's the Bravissimo wrap tunic I was talking about: http://www.bravissimo.com/m/pepperberry/#products/tops/knitwear/wrap-knit-tunic/cobalt/pt298clt/. Lovely sexy cleavage, flattering over the tummy, makes me look like I have curvier hips than I actually do. I'm an 8 in this style but a 10 or 12 in some of their other clothing, so it does vary. They have different levels of curviness for the bust, too.

This is one of the Nomads tunics. http://www.nomadsclothing.com/v-neck-top They bring out a range in the same style regularly, so keep an eye on the sale and eBay if you're bargain hunting. Obviously this is only if you're someone who looks good in empire line. They have dresses in the same style too. I have the 10s for those tops and probably would have been OK with the 8s, so you don't have to size up as usual.

I've said before I think the solution for big boobs is to wear a really nice, well-fitting bra and something floaty and sheer on top of it. The bra makes your boobs look fabulous, and the floaty bit should make it all more mysterious ... .

Couldn't imagine spending decdes on this struggle..

Thanks Zerlina! Love the the blue tunic dress, especially how it pulls in at the waist.. That's the kind of thing I am looking for.

Other one not so much, I'm 20 and feel the print/cut is a little mature for me.

Bravissimo items on eBay though, fab idea! I've never actually looked at anything other than their bras as their clothes are made for 'curvy people'. I'm just kinda top heavy so something to balance out my shape would be good.

V-necks and waist pinchy look like the way forward. Cause you are so right about looking like you're stuffed in there and ready to pop!

You sound like my partner...

Floaty tops just make me look huge! I have a very small frame and anything floaty/not fitted just hangs straight down from my boobs completely hiding the rest of my figure

Sounds like a man of good taste!

Floaty shirts can be nice with a camisole top underneath.

Good lord, I'm nearly twice your age. Life is odd. Anyway, the Nomads top comes in various prints, that was just the only one I could find on their website rather than on eBay. There are probably other people making that sort of top too. It's a shape I find works for me, anyway.

It sounds like you're a similar shape to me, although thinner since you're about the same size but taller, probably a bit narrower over the ribs as well. (I'm bloody lucky I'm not a 24 or 26 back size in bras, I probably should be at my height, and you can only get those from a speciality place in Poland.) Apparently I had a lovely hourglass figure when I was 20, but a few years ago I gained and then lost some weight, and it all seemed to vanish from my hips when I lost it.

Bravissimo clothing is specifically for women with medium to large breasts, it doesn't make assumptions about curves anywhere else. If you look at the reviews on their site, people can say what sort of shape they are, so some are more hourglassy and some are more top-heavy. Bravissimo are also the people for getting properly measured, although 30G sounds like you know what size you are, and they're good at finding things that suit you. I fared less well there since I need a petite range, their shirts all have the busts a bit too low, but I do find the odd thing. The quality varies, I wish they had more natural fabrics, but it's still definitely worth having a look there.

I find this website useful to look at for inspiration about what shapes suit us bustier folks. http://www.curvety.com/ It's for plus-size clothing and I know you're not plus size, but they are gorgeous, confident, sexy women with curves, and standard models tend to be very small-breasted. It's a lovely site to look at anyway, yay for celebrating women in a variety of shapes and sizes. I think there's a blonde model on there who's got similar proportions to me.

(I'm amused that the response to this post has been:

Woman: Can anyone help me find flattering clothing?

Men: BOOBS!

Other woman: No, seriously, guys, we need to have clothes we can wear too.

Men: BOOBS!

I'm bi, I think breasts are great too. But we still need clothes! And we want to be able to look sexy in our clothes as well as out of them!)

Okay so I wish Curvety did smaller sizes!! I know that's like the opposite of what they do but they have some real nice stuff.

http://www.curvety.com/kiyonna-whimsy-wrap-dress-in-wild-mulberry-p1820 I would wear something like this. Plungey and swingy and girly and that purple, bam!

About a year ago I would wear a size 6/ 12-13yrs and a 28DD, I didn't even know you could get smaller back sizes! I've since put on about 2 stone, and I figured that surely now, buying bras and clothes would become so much easier, right? Wrong! Ughhh instead of clothes hanging off me I now look/feel like the michelin man from the waist up..

There is a bravissimo in the town near me, I've yet to go. I was measured at m&s about a month ago, where she delivered the awful news that I'm now a 30G and here was the two super ugly bras in the whole shop that would fit me.. Bravissimo is definately high on my list of places to visit! For bras and clothes alike.

As much as I love boobs too, BOOBS! I'm finding it hard to love my own right now. Not to sound ungrateful..

Thankfully though winter seems to be rolling in fast. Big jumpers and shrugs are at least more flattering than the too tight around the boobs shirt with the too much material everywhere else look!

these links might be of some use

http://hourglassy.com/clothing-for-big-busts/ I found the hourglassy site quite useful for general tips. also helped me understand why wrap tops sometimes don't work well (I wear a H cup)

If you ever get the chance, if you're ever in London, check out Rigby and Peller for bras, they won't be cheap but they will be wonderful. Imagine going into a shop, and going to a drawer labelled 30G and immediately seeing all the bras to fit you - as opposed to the hunting around and scrabbling about on your hands and knees in M&S or Debenhams just to find the last boxed bra in your size... (or is that just me??)

I know what you mean about clothes hanging off the bust, I'm only 5' tall so I look very odd...belts and scarves to pull things in at the waist can help...

Debenhams sometimes have 30G bras in, even better if they have some in the blue X sales too

Here's another link that might be useful... http://hourglassy.com/2013/04/neckline-boobs-vs-waistline-boobs-or-why-cami-companies-will-never-go-out-of-business/

Check out curvywordy, it's a great blog (and lots of links) for flattering clothing for curvy ladies. It's how my OH discovered her favourite brand of bras.

Dani - I loved Supre when I was in Aus, even though I'm far from their target age range :)

firefly232 - That link is brilliant at explaining why I have two choices, "mumsy" or "pornographic" when choosing necklines! I have lots of vests/tank tops/camis in my wardrobe to compensate.

Even with my more subtle top heavy frame, I have difficulty finding well fitting clothes. Basically eveything needs to have lots of stretch. And formal or tailored clothes have to be adjusted unless they come from Bravissimo or the like. But at least I can get something. I really feel you girls' pain.
