Hi all, this is my first post (barr my intro) so.....Hiiiiiiii 

Anyhoo, upon scrolling through some of the forums I've seen that a lot of members have a blog. I've been writing one for a short time now (althought slightly been put on hold due to crimbo/uni assignements and illness) and have shared with a few kinky friends on a saucy Facebook group we share but nothing more than that. the feedback I've recieved is great and I LOVE writing it so I would very much like to get it back up and running and keep it going.

Now, as it is at the moment, it is anonoymous. Or as anon as I can get it being somewhat non-computer savvy. No names are mentioned, its created on wordpress through a different email excessed though a torrent blocker. I know theres more I can be doing to improve security if I pay for various things which I didn't really want to be doing as I'm not earning any money from it and it's just a side hobby at the moment.

So, if you write a blog, do you stay anon? If so what steps do you take to ensure this? If you don't, do you regret that choice?

I have no problem whatsoever in people I know reading it etc etc I made the choice to stay unknown purely as I didn't want to get into arguments with people pushing the whole 'you have a child.....and she could end up reading it/being embarassed by it' thing - urgh!

Also, if you've made it through this mammoth post then do you have any other tips or advice for me?

Hello!

I do write a blog anonymously and one of the steps I took was to get domain privacy. It is paid for, but the amount is minimal and I think online safety is always worth being extra careful about. I ordered it alongside my domain name and hosting plan.

If you're a wordpress.com blog rather than a .org blog then I think your contact details automatically show as wordpresses anyway, so you should be covered :)

Then there's just the usual things like making sure family photos or easily identifiable items aren't shown in any photos that appear on your site :)

With it being totally anonymous, do you find it hard to get readers? As in, you don't share the link etc with people you know as they would then know its you?

Ah yes, I've not posted any pics as yet but I did think of that lol along with covering any identifying tattoos. Imagine being discovered because someone notices your own picture in the background! That would be just my luck ha ha ha

Not really. I made social media accounts to go alongside the blog so the links are posted to those. Some also use specific tags and keywords to help people find their stuff :)

I don't believe I've shared my links with anyone I know who isn't sex positive at the moment no, maybe one day, but not yet!

I went for Hostgator as they allow adult content :-)
