I am doing a little research and need your feedback very similar to a thread i posted not so long ago about 'Hold ups & Stockings'! Let me know your opinion :)
It's not that I don't like them, some of them look really lovely and elegant and I prefer the look of the more lacey items with lots of elegant patterns on.
But my problem is I just don't think a body stocking would look good on me. In fact I think it would look pretty hideous! I have a onesie, and my onsie looks awful so I'm sure a clingy body stocking would do the same. I think they're more suited for people with a slender frame, whereas I'm a size 12, and pretty curvy. I just don't have the confidence to try one out.
MrsMcX - I thought I would hate them (I'm a size8-10) and swore I would never wear one then I tried one on at work one day and I now understand why people buy them and like to wear them! It seems to hide all 'wobbly bits' and make your figure seem more smooth...
I think you should try one you may be pleasantly suprised! Onesie's look weird on me too they're definitely not a flattering piece of clothing haha. Thanks for getting back to me I will add your thoughts to my research
I think they look fantastic if you're the right shape for them! I've only tried one before and it was far too short in the legs so the crotch didn't come up where it was meant to and it just looked all wrong. I'm a 12-14 and 5'8''.
I'm not a fan of the all over, I feel they at least need to be crotchless as I like pretty bedroom attire that doesn't have to come off when things get more heated.
I've been doing my research on Lovehoney just this morning (should be working harder - oops) and have decided my next lingerie purchase is one of the Dreamgirl all in one top and stocking styles. I'm not sure if you strictly count these as bodystockings but they're top to toe so I think so. The reviews seem to say good for taller girls and I think they look just fantastic, got it narrowed down to three...
Cazz, you've made me feel a lot more intrigued by it!! It's now definitely something I think I should try out. The one you've just linked to Peitho looks amazing! It's exactly the type of body stocking I would buy. I think I'll try it out!! It can't hurt! :)
I never wear them really, I have one, and it actually is very flattering, I think a really pretty one would look stunning, but, I just don't like having the majority of my skin covered. I quite like skimpy lingerie, lol. I should probably leave more to the imagination, but for some reason that doesn't make me feel overly sexy.
I think they look stunning! The first is just leading for me though as the second looks amazing from the back but I don't think it's quite so flattering from the front. I think the simple body stockings without lots of detailling can look great but I think they look best when teamed with accessories (Scorpius posted some pics a little while ago in one and looked fabulous)
Although something like this doesn;t leabe much to the imagination, lol, maybe I should try a different one and see if I like it more than the one I have ;)
I love that Obsessive one Mrs. Just decided to go for one of the Dreamgirl ones as from reviews seem suited to us taller girls but the Obsessive one has been on my wishlish for quite a while, lol.
I've always been intrigued to try one as there as many gorgeous designs but I think that because I'm a curvy size 12 It would show all my lumps and bumps (even though they're in the right places haha :P) but I prefer to be supported even when wearing sexy lingeire such as an underwire cup or something and I don't think I've come across a bodystocking that would support.
Also I'm rather tall and so I like to wear petite lingerie to make me feel more feminine, (I don't like being as tall as I am, I'm usually taller than my partners, which isn't on purpose :( and I don't feel as womanly when I'm taller than them) and I think a bodystocking would just make me look even more slender and tall :/
On the plus side, I guess depending on the design, they would cover up my gastly stretch marks!! Xx
I've always wanted to try them as they look so lovely and sexy. But I'm a size 6/8 and 5 foot 2 so I'm not sure if they would be to long for me. That's why I haven't bought one.
Hi Cazz, I love bodystockings and quite often wear one. I have a couple that are crotchless, which are great because you can keep it on the whole time :O I prefer crotchless, as you don’t have to worry about taking them off when things gets exciting ;) Also I think they create a fantastic silhouette for your body and accentuate your curves.
Most are quite stretchy, and so mould easily to any body shape, I’m a size 10
This is one of my favourites – its super soft, looks great – especially in heels – and a bargain price too!
I've never tried wearing one. Like the look of them though and I think I'd probably go for one with a bit of a pattern on it to disguise stretchmarks etc . I'm a size 16/18 so not quite sure how I'd look in in it but I might give one a try in the future.
