Butt plug trouble?

Hi there! Not sure how to put this trouble under, except for troublesome, so here we go.

My boyfriend and I purchased a butt plug, gave it a try a little while ago. As much as it was pleasureable, it kept falling out. Was wondering how to get around that, or if anyone had been in the same predicament?

Could you maybe post a link to the butt plug that you were using?

Yeah, that part completly slipped my mind sorry!

That one looks quite soft and smooth and doesn't seem to have a very defined 'neck', which is usually what keeps butt plugs nice and secure and stops them from trying to escape. You might want to look at getting one with a skinnier dip for it to stay in, maybe a bit more of a bulbous shape? This kind of thing perhaps -

Definitely try a plug with a much steeper drop off! Those sort of plugs are okay as long as you are relaxed but if you're moving about at all then you can contract your pelvic muscle and accidently push it out. The thing with a lot of beginner plugs is that they have a very gradual incline, whereas something like this: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=21704 is much more difficult to fall out once it's in. I use that plug myself, it's very satifying to play about with and it has a similar circumference to the one you said you were using at it's widest point. You are losing a lot the "gape" though, by which I mean it's not as wide where it will be sitting once inserted.

I also understand that you are new to plugs so you most likely used a lot of lube your first time, but possibly using a little less (enough for it still to be comfortable going both in and out). But my general recommendation would be to purchase a different plug that is in the same range as what you are comfortable using with regard to it's length and circumference but with a different design.

Also, just to expand upon the point of moving about after insertion: it is important to remember that the dimensions of your body changes in different positions. You won't have as much "depth" in some, and if you're doing anything like thrusting then it can be very easy to push it out.

Just another product to consider: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16479

To add what has already been said...
I have that plug and it is crap - slips out soo easy. Lots of the reviews talk about the problem too.
As others have said - go for one with a more defined shoulder.

You also might want to consider a plug set if you want to increase the girth gradually and open up your options to plugs with designs that have the 'neck' that sleepy celia was talking about: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/butt-plugs/butt-plug-sets/

Yup..a different butt plug is the solution here.I have a non-vibrating one (LH butt buddy) and never had a problem with it falling out.

I would imagine theres some learnt technique involved too, practice makes perfect maybe?

Not particularly, once it's in it's in - if it's coming out it's just not doing what it's supposed to, there's not much room for human error in that respect.

I mean, obviously you can force it out but that's not the issue here :)

Looking at the plug, I can see why it might tend to fall out. Something more bulbous with a thinner neck would probably stay in better, especially if you're moving around quite a bit. Maybe save this one for less rigorous activities
