Something else to keep in mind is don’t worry about if you can “live up to expectations” your partner knows you’re new to it so his expectations will probably that you’re going to be nervous, he won’t be expecting you to know it all straight away

I’m a sub too and think I would feel the same if I was asked to switch even if it was for just 1 time. I would just say relax, talk about what he wants and desires from a scene and discuss how you both see it playing out. Make sure he knows that your hesitant because you don’t want to let him down. It probably won’t be perfect and some things may go wrong but that’s just how it is. As long as you can both laugh it off and keep going (as long as no-one gets hurt obviously) then thats fine.

Having a cool outfit to get into the role usually helps too! I’d recommend going all out and try some role play
