Clegg Spanks rule changes for porn

Well Well Well, didn't see this one coming ;)

Maybe Clegg has a fetish side we didn't know about lol

Was this about the laws regarding the filming/recording of some sexual/domination acts between consenting adults.

We can write books like '50 shades' but we wont be able to film it on this island!! And woe be tide anyone that films it for their own entertainment.

I did pick up a leaflet at a club some months back and registered a protest vote against the 'New' legislation.

yes it is. On friday there was a protest outside parliment, where people pretended to have sex etc, as a standup against the new law

You go Cleggers! It is quite ridiculous these law changes.

So a couple could be having a 69 he on his back she on top. But if she sits up this would be prohibited, as she would be 'face sitting' and breaking the law. Ridiculous piece of legislation.

New laws like this are so frustrating. I'm infinitely grateful that this new one, to the best of my understanding considering how incredibly complexly laws are written, just covers depictions in British porn and isn't a possession offense like some of the more recent laws that have been passed before this. Unfortunately I don't imagine for a second that it's going to get any sort of repeal despite protests and such like since the Extreme Pornography Act was meant to be considered under the Freedom bill or whatever it was that was supposed to be repealing ridiculous laws and that never happened despite there being a lot of protest against it. It's a shame that law-makers seem incapable of taking into account the views of the public on what is considered acceptable sexually. I feel awful sorry for British porn producers, actors, etc. having to abide by these regulations but at least there's the whole rest of the internet.

The entire affair is a brash misguided mess by incompetent, short-sighted and out of touch politicians. What is more worrying is the unsensational and sinister work going on quietly in the background whilst this story (and many like it) distract us.

You can still film these within the UK, you just can't publish and edit them within the UK.

While BDSM has been impacted greatly in these laws, there are other areas affected such as non-heteromotive relationships, womens expression of sexuality, and even those with disabilities (as face sitting is the only way for some to perform oral sex). The sex toy market is impacted too, with toys that look like foreign objects now banned in porn published in the UK, so that's fruit looking toys to weapon looking ones like the good old sword dildo. It's mostly impacting companies within the UK and UK ecomomy, as you can still publish these films outside of the UK and still view them within the UK. So it's affecting a lot of smaller businesses like cam girls, and the larger companies outside the UK will profit more from producing this kind of porn.

There're loads of issues with the new regulations, and really they do seem silly, and very hard to judge when you have over stepped the liine (such as defining how serve a spanking is for one person and not for another as people react and mark differently).

There have been people who have already found legal ways around it though, so really they didn't think about this law much if it's that easy to go around, it is more just to cause moral panic sadly.

Basically hop on over to france, film it and you're fine lol

Just out of curiosity, in light of this ludicrous legislation and staying in line with lovehoney's forum rule “9. Do not condone or encourage illegal activity.” Would we now banned from condoning or encouraging face sitting or female ejaculation? Where do the moderators stand on this issue? ![](upload://rA41UoqYzU9yrgGiJUyzuRc98GV.gif)

I may have misunderstood, but it's not illegal to do it, but it is illegal to film it and display it in porn video's in the UK...

It's not illegal to film it in the uk just publish and edit it in within the UK :-) although as it's unclear about the differences between video streaming verses tv there has been some legal loop holes found around it.

But it's legal to do these acts.

So yes to doing the acts.
Yes to filming.
But pop over to France to post your films etc ;-)

Using our Internet it would probably be quicker to drive over the France to upload anything.
This just seems like another half arsed attempt by the government to try and control what the British public can see online. They can't actually sensor the Internet so they try to keep what they don't like or know about off the Internet.

Learn something new everyday is the phrase that springs to mind

Indeed, it's perfectly legal to talk about it, do it and film it everywhere in the UK.

The only thing that you can't do is COMMERCIALLY release it within the UK.
