Hi, I am lucky enough to have a girlfriend who wants to learn how to deepthroat like a pro. The only little issue I have is that she doesn't feel comfortable practicing on a dildo or an object or fingers which she can do at home on her own and says she wants to just practice on me, which is cool obviously lol but we don't live together and don't do it enough for her to learn how to control her gag reflexes etc and she's scared of been sick on me which becomes a little barrier, so I'm looking for help. Practice is the first which you both know, the second is relax and what ive found is take it in slowly sort of hold open like my mouth and just hold for a second. That helps you get used to it or at least me. The best advice I have is look at some of the goodhead throat sprays etc they really do help if you have a big gag relfex. Basically anything that helps numb up before hand can help.
It will involve scouring pornhub, but Heather Brooke (aka iheartdeapthroat) has (or at least had) a tutorial video on there going through exactly how it can be done. She does say to practice on something and perhaps you need to help her over any fears about practicing on a dildo (maybe she feels embarassed to be sucking on an inaminate object?)
The best positions involve having her head tilted back to try and create a straight line between the mouth and throat. This could be her on her knees in front of you or could be with her on her back on the bed with her head hanging off the end (this will involve you basically straddling her so make sure you have a safe signal, such as tapping on the thigh, so you know she needs you to pull out).
Take it slow, get her to take a little more in each time. Get her to inhale (through her nose) as she takes your penis in
Don’t eat (or drink) before trying this. Reassure her that if she were to be a little sick, it wouldn’t be a big deal to you.
I’ve been practicing for months. It is difficult to overcome the gag reflex but the more you practice the easier it becomes. Can’t say that I’m an expert deep throater just yet but I am making progress. So read the advice and don’t give up practicing cos I know I’m getting there.
I think that the second position that kelly_michelle suggested is the easiest one. You have more control, but you can agree that she will pull you towards her when she wantd you to go deeper. This way she has more control.
Also, try to make her feel more comfortable. It's okay if she gags or even pukes. It happens and all you have to do is clean it up, make sure her tummy feels ok, and move on to doing something else.
Personally I've found that I can take more in my mouth/ throat the more aroused I am. In the position suggested above, you can finger her or play with her clit, have her play with herself or use a toy. For me, that works wonders!
