Dildo help?

I'm really wanting to try out a dildo, as I don't have one..

I'm quite tight though so I'm worried about pain.

I'm also not sure wether I'd enjoy it.

Can anyone reccomend a starter dildo and some tips?

Thank you, Em'

I think that the best advice that I could give you is to read some of the reviews to get an idea of what it is that you might like, everyone is so different something which I like you might hate and vice versa.

Personally I like the glass dildos, they are nice if they are warmed, and have a texture unlike anything else, they can also be cooled to give a completely different sensation. As for pain, if you are relaxed and use plenty of lube you shouldnt have any problems, of course you should always stop if you have any discomfort.

Thank you so much, this helps alot.

I am personally thinking about getting http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=4667 as my first dildo. It seems that the 2 different girfts may be less scary. and more easy to use. Noone says I have to use it both vaginally and anally at the same time. I had a look at glass dildos before and got slightly worried about the sizes, especially girth. I am also tight and slightly scared of accommodating something big and hard inside me.

Oh great! Yeah, about the girth.. I'm really worried and I don't want to stretch myself too much ethier.

Can you let me know how you get on?

I've added the one you suggested to my wishlist and maybe i'll bring myself to get it :D

I can, but not getting it in next 2 weeks. So likely to get it in the second half of April.

I think the 4 inches at the widest point should be fine, but it is hard to find a glass dildo bellow 4 inches, although these may work

I know. both out of stock, but the second one should be in. Unfortunately most glass dildos seems to be too much on the girth side for me. not sure I want over 4 inches girth of hard glass in me.

I think I really like the look of http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=4667 more than the glass ones because of the smal reason really, I don't want over 4 inches of hard glass in me.

I think that looks like an excellent first dildo. I'm really tempted to buy it as I know the jelly rubber material is really firm yet flexible. I have a slightly girthier toy that I use but it does seem to "wear" me out pretty quick and quite hard work at first.

However that looks like it hits all the boxes. The smaller end seems like a great start. It's doesn't seem that girthy at 3 inches in circumference at its narrowest. A lot of the other "starter" dildos start at 4 inches in circumference.

I think glass dildos can be quite hit and miss. Personally, I find them quite restricting and solid although they are simply beautiful to touch.

Glad I helped. Maybe look at some similar sized dildos. I like this one as one end is smaller than the other. and I am planning to use it only vaginally. The smaller end would be a good start, then trying the wider end.

Thats why I want this one as the starter. Something smaller, flexible (rubber should fit that). The 2 ends, one smaller, the bigger makes it ideal. And I did spend some time looking at other dildos as well

Hey there.

I've had some issues with girth myself... It helps to relax and let someone else take the lead sometimes. I've had a lot of fun with a dildo, but mostly, the girlfriend was putting it in for me so I could push past the pain and into the pleasure.

What I started off with was the vibrator from the basic range: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=319

Later I used it to "open up" before using a larger toy.

I'm going to recommend this glass one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=4733 it says anal but i use it in my pussy a lot, it's not that thick and easy to hold so you can control how deep you go :)

I have this double dildo and though it's small, it's fairly inflexible and I would imagine a newbie to dildo's would find it awkward (though great when you get going!!!). I also have two glass dildo's and I would say the glass ones would be better because they're sleeker and nice and easy to play with... The Sapphire Beaded one is out of stock at the mo, but I loved it, and it's not too long...

I have this vibe, my first one. And yes, it is great, small enough for sure. I used it internally, but may problem is it is hard plastic and does not really suit my shape down there. But otherwise I agree it is great toy, I use it often, as it is strong.

MrsP: my problem is with the girth. 4 inches in circumference may just be too much for me. I dont like hard things. I do use my Gracious vibrator http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16887 as a sort of dildo, sort of, which is 4 inches, flexible. And I do need a lot of lube and warming to manage sometimes - especially in the beginning I just could not fit it in. I am not sure something completely hard and non flexible wout fit in, especially at girth which I can have problems to manage. And most glass dildos are like 4.5inches + in circumference. No way I am going to try that!
