First time dildo?

I'm a virgin, in a long term long distance relationship- for this reason, I find other ways to pleasure myself; more recently, toys.

2 weeks ago I received a G-spot vibrator in the mail, and upon first use realised that I was too tight to use it. After lubing up a bit it slid in, but it felt like it was stretching me and afterwards I felt like a cave. It wasn't wide enough in the places I needed it to be, but too wide elsewhere.

And now I'm on the hunt for a dildo... looking at the Lovehoney basics dildo, it's 5 inches circumferance, which I'm not sure is the best idea considering I struggled with 3.5 previously.

Maybe it was because the other toy had a velvet feel? Something smooth and plastic should go in easier, especially with some lube.

What do you guys think? any reccomendations, or should I just go ahead and order the basics one and hope for the best?

As a student, I don't have too much money now, so the cheaper the better.

Thank you!

i personal dont think u should be gettin one at this time especially if u r finding the g-spot not right for u , as u dont want to harm yourself in anyway so please becarefull and dont rush into anything but if u go ahead please seek good advise even ask Lh member of staff or even contact them on there live free chat at the top of the page x k x

sorry but i am only thing of u

Hello, I had a quick look for you and found quite a few with a smaller girth but here are one or two that I spotted in particular, although I wasnt sure how big to go in length.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28408  - 4 inch girth

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25156 - This has a 4.8 girth

There is always also glass, it is a little more pricey as you go but really dont discount it as it is amazing versatile to use and not as scarey as it looks (believe me I was very wary of it and now, just plain addicted !).

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30948 - smaller again at a 3

Maybe one of these would work for you? They're all on the slim side and made of silicone, which you might find easier to use as it's usually softer than ABS plastic or PVC.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24132

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25366 - this one's a vibrator buuut it's pretty slim and reasonably priced, too!

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=13884

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30709 - I have this and really like it; the first few inches are pretty slim so it's a nice, gradual sensation.

Hi, firstly ditch the dildo idea, you don't sound ready for that yet.

secondly, buy a bullet, they are small, smooth and can be used with or without vibrations. Bullets are great for clit play, which you might really enjoy as it sounds like your not comfortable with penetration yet. You can use a bullet penetratively and as it will be small it will not stretch you.

thirdly, only play when you are horney, there is no point in trying to make yourself orgasm when your bored, and don't forget the for play. Just because your playing solo you still will enjoy it more if you build up to it.

I hope this helps, bullets are cheap! Get one that has more than one speed.

I think you've got a lot of great advice here.

But sadly I am going to have to be the barer of bad news... life here at Lovehoney starts at 18. I only mention this because I have seen Cazz mention it... a lot.

I would assume by "student" she means uni student, in which case she'll be over 18. Other than the word student which can range from 14-25 I don't see anything in her post that says she's underage? Maybe I missed it?

Yup you missed it, a line was deleted from the original post.

Going to put in a second reccomendation for this one in particular:

Or this one:

Going for the cheapest option isn't always the best idea with sex toys as you pretty much get what you pay for. Those two are remarkably cheap options for being made from great quality materials and they're nice and small (while still able to hit the spot).

You could also go for one of these if you want the lifelike dildo, they are smaller in circumference than the Basics one so should be a better fit:

Yeah it got changed. As you were :")

I'd suggest looking at bullet vibrators if you're struggling size-wise, and they're often a lot cheaper too.

However if you definitely want to go down the dildo route, I'd look for one that's hard plastic/glass/metal/ceramic - as with plenty of lube these slide in super-easy, whilst on the other hand silicones and jellies can drag if insufficiently lubricated. If you want a slimmer dildo, maybe check out the anal dildos, the beginner ones are a lot smaller - just an idea maybe?

I don't want to sound condescending at all, but are you ensuring that you're properly warmed up before inserting the toy? I've been having sex for five years now, and still nothing fits downstairs unless I'm totally ready.

At the end of the day, if you order something from Lovehoney and it's not quite right for you - you can always send it back within 365 days of purchase. I hope maybe some of that helped!

If you're a Virgin... how did you review the condoms? Any how...

I am sure you will suit something to fit your needs here! Lovehoney are great and there's dildos in all shapes and sizes! But I would definitely start small whatever you choose. A bullet etc.

Let us know what you choose!
