Do you wear latex? Why / Why not?

Yes, I wear it and love the stuff.

For me really it has been a fetish of mine since my teens so its hard to say exactly what it is I love about it, a combination of the look, feel, smell, everything.

I started out with a few basic Sharon Sloane items like most people but the mens choice is limited so I soon ventured out to the likes of Honour, Westward bound and Libidex. Honestly I find that shopping around and waiting for sales is key, once you know what you like if you can afford it buy made to measure as it makes a huge difference.

I tend to stick with things that are regular items of clothing (witht the odd exception) but just happened to be made from latex, otherwise mens latex tends to veer on the camp side sadly. Not judging but its not my thing and women do seem to think that if I like to wear rubber then I must be gay for some reason, so I try to stay away from styles that encourage them down that route.

If you are starting out look at something simple, and classic, that way as your wardrobe expands to suit your taste you will have some classics to fall back on. The best advice I can give is to use silicone lube as a dressing aid, talc will mix with sweat and get very nasty ver quickly, plus its fun and feels good being lubed in tight clothes haha.

I wear it mostly for pleasure at home but occasionally to local Fetish nights and clubs, It gets very warm but its nice to be able to wear it and not feel like a freak for having this kink.

Hi Jess.

I absolutely love latex and my OH plans in buying some soon for her to wear so we can experiment with it, to be honest I would always look at LH first when buying anything but from what I've seen other sites do have more of a choice, not so much for women, I think LH stock plenty for delays but for men It seems very limited. We do look forward to buying some Kate's from you soon. X

I have never worn latex, because I'm a size 14-16 and generally get the feeling that it wouldn't look good on me as I'm not slim enough. It also sounds like a hassle to get in and out of, and can be quite expensive, so that's off putting as well.

We love latex, I love the look and also the second skin sensation you get from it, also thanks to lovehoney we have had quite a bit of experiance with datex ( the datex catsuit is fab btw ) unfortunately you don't get that second skin feeling like with latex but what you do get is the looks without the associated trouble with putting it on.

We only wear latex in the house and prodamantly leading to sex my husband however is all up for a fetish club we have a wardrobe suitable allready but my confidence levels are lacking when it comes to wearing and expressing my fetishes outside our home.

I love the items sold by

http://libidex.com
I don't so much love the price tags though, it's a shame good latex garments are so expensive

Nope ! Hate it....can't bare the smell or feel. Shame really as I want to like it, I just can't xx

Have a latex skirt which I love.. Would love to try a catsuit but generally the cost puts me off. The look and feel of latex is awesome

I have never tried latex although i really want to.

I like the idea of restrictive figure hugging outfits and the smooth texture appeals to me.
My biggest issue is cost and sizing and i always worry that if its cheap it will be easily damaged. I cant really justify spending £100 on a single item either.

It will remain on my list until i can be sure 100% that i will use it, get my moneys worth and will enjoy it.
Maybe one day ;-)

Hi

I love the look of it and think the feel would be a real turn on too but I dont think I could wear it as I dont think my physique would be flattered shall we say by the tight fitting outfits than look so hot on slimmer people.

Maybe one day ...

Cheap stuff can last pretty well, I have some that I bought when I first got started with latex and its only just starting to get a bit worn out 8 years later

Hi Jess
What can I say about latex?
I first saw latex in porn and loved the look of it and how sexy it made women look and often wondered what it was like to wear.
After a while I stumbled across lovehoney and saw that they sold some latex items at a good price so I thought I would try a pair of leggings, although they where women's sizes I thought so what I also got a pair of hotpants.
Since i bought the leggings I have bought a catsuit from libidex that was in a sale so saved 50% the quality is a lot better the more you pay.
Latex In my opinion is worth paying the extra as cheap latex is very thin and not as well made so more prone to splitting.
So what latex like to wear hot very hot lol
I love the felling of putting latex on its skin tight and restricts movement slightly, you need to talc the inside to make it easier to get on and off and no oil based lubes as it melts latex.
Once latex is on you can get your partner to polish you up until you shine.
I only wear latex at home or under my regular clothing, fun when nobody knows what you have underneath.
Other retailers who specialises in latex offer hundreds of different colours and made to fit.
Hope this helps 😀

Thanks so much everyone for your feedback! It's all really helpful :)

Hi , we have never tried it, my other half isn't that interested in it ...I think the concern being it will show every bulge or contour. Me personally I get the impression is has the ability to make that rubber squeak... squeak a balloon and I either run away screaming or get irate it makes my skin crawl .

Do you wear latex? Have you ever worn latex?

Oh hell yes!.....Since the days of Murray & Vern (anyone remember from Skin Two?)

why do you wear it? Do you wear it for sensation? Style/looks? The ‘risque’ look, the feel, the smell, Latex colours and styles!.....and Hubby likes me dressed in it;)

where do you wear it? Do you save latex for private affairs and purely for sex/bedroom fun? Or wear it out and about clubbing, to events, for fancy dress?I strictly wear my latex outfits at home due to the styles of some of my outfits and the fact that you cannot wear anything underneath Latex clothing, although I have worn some under a coat outdoors:), Sexy photo shoots:)....although since my children were born and work commitments coupled with the age old thing of body ‘lumps, bumps and rolls’ ;J I do not get to wear it as often as would like:(

which brands or retailers do you like best and why? (please feel free to share links here) Tell us why you go to those brands. Is it price? Information? Choice? Recommendation? - I have not purchased latex outfits for at least 4 years as I do not get the opportunity to wear the 12 or so outfits I have now. I have purchased from Skin two Murray & Vern (Now Honour) and Westward Bound. I go to these retailers as they are UK based, have a vast selection of latex styles and colours and are reasonably priced given that the garments are handmade.

I do like Atsuko Kudo latex clothing, she is a latex designer to many celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora. She has some fantastic latex designs which are reasonably priced too!

On the downside Latex is a very delicate material and commands the utmost care whilst putting it on, taking it off and storage, so it is perhaps not the right material to purchase for vigorous bedroom sex activities as it could easily tear. It is also very expensive and has a very short defect warranty.........although the expense and effort to put it on (with assistance) is worth the grief for the end sexy result!:)...especially when dressed in some of the more vibrant or metallic latex colours that are available!........Pearlshine Pewter being one of my favourites![](upload://h7LJ67OOrR57VDYrj5ZEwwHAfLG.gif)

Hi Jess, what a great question to ask everyone. I regularly wear latex & have done for many years. I absolutely love everything about it.
Just the sight of it makes my heart beat faster, from that first touch just choosing an item to wear to the incredible smell & sounds of it is something ive loved for many years.
I appreciate some people consider latex to be quite extreme with such labels as fetish/sub/dom/ etc but I really think they should just try it some time even if they start off with a beautiful pair of gloves for starters & get comfortable with the feeling. Just go for it you never know until you've tried I say. X

I have yet to have latex on my wadrobe collection... I'd love to, but I tend to hover around lace or leather.

It looked so nice from the models I've seen, I'll definitely attempt it in the future.

I would note down the recommendations for future shoping list :')

The only latex I have worn, is my Transvestite friends skater shirt.
I don't buy it because it's too pricey for me and due to my size, it's hard to get anything unless it is custom made.
If latex clothing was available at a size 24+ and more affordable, I'd wear it to fetish and swingers clubs.

Hi yes I buy and Wear latex, I love the feel, look, Smell it is a huge turn on to wear and to see others wear. I have a few items now, catsuit, shirt, t-shirt, shorts, trousers, underwear, gladiator skirt, hood/mask, gloves.
One of my favourite things to do is dress in my catsuit with my mask and gloves and be covered head to toe I latex.

I wear my latex at home sometime just because I want to wear it other times to play and have fun with my wife. I would like to wear my latex out but maybe a bit to shy to actually do so, I think it's a little harder to wear latex out to a regular club and in public if your a guy.

I buy my latex from different places, eBay (to try find a bargain) honour, libidex, latexcatfish( Chinese company more affordable price) have also brought a top form my wife from lovehoney. I buy from these sellers as they are very good quality and also a little more a foldable than say some of the high end latex sellers such as westward bound, atsuko judo, house of harlot.
